@TheMrTezzer ..but the way things are going, it's going to be a good day by the end of it. Why?! "Because I am he as you are he and we are all together...koo koo choo!!!"
just begin playing teh drums and I love it but more glad to have people like you helping and motivating people like me. You will always be my hero as you help shape my old life when I choosed to play the drums.
Will later have a set just like yours, love the sound.
@MsRudyramirez That's wonderful to hear. I like that my videos serve other drummers in learning. Please subscribe if you like, I'm always posting new covers, tutorials & jams.
A great cover of a great song. I don't play myself so my quetion is: When playing do you always play exactly the same or do you keep the beat / rhythm and then improvise with the fills depending on how you feel? Does it depend on the song? I'm a fan of Bob Dylan and he seems to be able to play and sing a song differently every time.
@Ade987654321 Very good questions. It's a fine balance of covering what's on the recording & expressing oneself. Most good songs play themselves on drums, it's a matter of finding the groove. The ride patterns & snare beats are usually the same as the recording, but it's in the fills & bass drum patterns where the self-expression finds itself. So yes, it's pretty much as you put it. Dylan, yes, I was watching the Tom Petty documentary last night & Dylan's way of playing things in the moment.
@ripper76009 I'm working on a web site, it's not up yet. I'm hoping these videos I upload demonstrate how the songs are played, especially one as simple as this one. Thanks for watching and your encouragement.
@00PsYcHoBiTcH00 No need to be sorry, I just thought the sound of the hi-hat was audible enough to be able to tell whether it's open or closed, but I guess it's not, depends on what kind of audio system it's being played on.
OK, so In the verses the hi-hat is closed and on the choruses it's half-open (loose). Hope that helps. And thanks for checking out the video.
the really is my favourite drumm cover video on you tube, simple but effective, great job
