I have to say that i just LOVE this piece (HWV 430), and even though I kind of find the last repetition of the air/theme a bit redundant, I must say that this rendition is amazing.
Damn! I thought this was a solo..Duet is not aweswum baby....Lol, but the music is Really nice, really. i just thought it would be crazy if it was a solo :D
carlos bonell is crap..he didn't play 'koyunbaba' at his recital like he was supposed to do..and that wasn't the only piece either! you wouldn't have alfred brendel ducking out of the schubert sonata in bflat...
I was under the impression this was just Williams by himself. Single run. No dubbing.
I've always imagined this being uber-difficult to play. I wish there were videos of someone playing this with all of Giuliani's variations for all to see.
I think you are right. I have just listened to it again. I am used to it being played on the harpsichord. Listen to Paul Nicholson playing on h'chord.
I first heard this back in '92. It was on a greatest hits tape. I'll never forget how it stirred me the first time I heard it. I've loved it ever since.
That's pretty cool sounding. I have the very simple arrangement. Once I get that down a little better, I may have to add my own touch and make my own arrangement.
after i heard this many years ago i started to learn the version of m. guliani - this version can only be performed by the technical master willams itself
i collect a lot of john william's album some of them took his signature when i attend his guitar concert. Among so many album , this song is the most i like, and also my first album. Thanks for sharing.
This is a duet recording, JW playing both parts hmself. The recording I think is dedicated to London, with the city in the title somewhere, as best I can recall.
So beautiful I'm speechless.

Wow! This harpsichord suite works so well as a guitar duet.
I love it as the divisions become ever more complicated.

It's simply perfection.
Great mood, great feeling, great performance.

Sounds like he's using a capo. It's a duet he's playing with a guy named Carlos Bonell. What's nicer than the sound of a guitar? Two guitars!

Lovely piece! Again an impeccable perfomance by JW. Preatty difficult to play both parts in such accuracy. I try to get this record...
