  • He is a classic example of being a uniter and not a divider. He believes in a consensus form of government recognizing ideas from both sides of the political spectrum. Hence why his Lt. Governor is a republican. Dialogue builds ideas, debating just leads to more of the same!

  • fuck him i hate him.....just pisses me off

  • I have to say in a non-partisan way, there is so much more talent in the Democratic Party than the Republican Party. That was pretty much a perfect speech. Entertaining, positive, visionary and genuine.

  • Schweitzer 16

  • @aldfjak

    right....clinton was the same way

  • Montana should vote Republican.White people must stick together. The minorities are organizing against us.Vote out Baucus and Tester.

  • Why can't he be president today? He'd be much better than Obama.

  • german

  • he is a smart guy. he speaks fluent Arabic. pretty amazing cause he comes off as a dumb hick. but in reality the guy is very intelligent.

  • such a weird speaker

  • test...test

  • Montana's New Slogan: Montana: Nobody Cares.

  • PLEASE! THIS IDIOT POSTED IT AND I'M SCARED THAT THIS MIGHT REALLY HAPPEN SO DON'T SEND IT TO ANYMORE VIDEOS.

IM NOT TRYING TO ADVERTISE BUT IM SCARED OF WHAT IT SEES in 1908 a lady named sally rusa was in the woods looking for a dog until a ghost came and killed her so if ur reading this u will find a bloody body in your closet hanging there haunting you and will kill you and ur family and if u want to stop this just sends this to 6 videos in 30 mins or this will happen good luck!!

  • MY JAZZ TEACHER IS NAMED THAT

  • boolshet

  • The conventions have a thing about bringing new talent to light, and I know it when I see it. Obama was the product of 2004, and the rise of Jim Webb and Mark Warner in VA were two other recent great finds. Schweitzer was the one who impressed me the most at this convention and I think he should definitely be considered for higher office when the time comes!!!!

  • I agree. I love Kucinich too although he isnt new

  • Montana is Obama land.

  • This guy is great. It's too bad that his options are limited. With Jon Tester and Max Baucus in the Senate, where is there for him to go?

  • He has plenty of time though. A relatively young man. Few more years as giovernor, then perhaps a cabinet place and by then one of the Montana senators may have retired... Im a Scweitzer fan so I'd love to see him stay long on the national stage as one of the ambassadors of the new Democrats taking the west.

  • he should be vice president Obama Schweitzer amzazing team

  • Schweitzer is a good man, he worked across party lines unfortunately he kind of looks like Rush Limbaugh which isnt cool.

  • Schweitzer for President!!!!!!!!!! This man tore the roof off!!!

  • Alfalfa!!! This guy rocks!!!

  • Man I miss Montana and it's people. It truly is the last best place. I think I need to go back. Cheers to you Montana.

  • Schweitzer has given Montana such an upper hand on energy independence. Coal and wind power have been his biggest steps. He has done a great job in creating more jobs and has come closer to making Montana an even better state than people recognize.

  • We need more like-minded public servants like him all over the country. Investing in education and alternative energy instead of wars and clandestine schemes to spy on its citizens.

  • im from montana. and he and bohlinger have done great things together he has reached out to the state and given Montana a place on the map. He won't go for the presidency, but Schweitzer is a great governor. Much greater than Palin I can tell you that.

  • Schweitzer totally stole the show. I mean he was fantastic, moving, forthright, powerful, simply brilliant. We need more goveners and washington politicians like him. He brought the house down.

  • I can't help but look at him and see the future of the Democratic Party.

I'm not sure why. Schweitzer for President in 2016?

  • This guy should have be the VP.

  • Until a month ago, I never heard of him. But after viewing this speech, I think Gov. Schweitzer has a great future. How about Sec of Energy in an Obama Administration?

  • i was hoping the gore would fill that spot, but this guy would do fine.

  • So was I!

  • 4:23 "hell no!"

  • Hopefully Governor Schweitzer will run for national office someday.

  • Hahaha this guy is amazing!

  • This was a great speech. Effective. Tell it like it is!!!!!!! WOOOHOOOO go dems!

  • Great speech! Everyword was the absolute truth. The Democratic party from top to bottom is just head and shoulders of the Criminal Corporate Crime Family known as the Republicans.

  • Schweitzer is awesome.

  • go brian! sorry but it seems as if montana is never included in anything!

  • What a great speaker!

  • What fun! Great speech!

  • watch?v=1UEOZGFzPas

  • I like this guy, eco-rancher in Montana.

  • Watch out for this man. He will be President one day. This reminds me of Obama in 2004

  • heh not bad :)

  • BRIAN SCHWEITZER FTW!

  • wonderful! Gooobama!

  • He did a great job. To play devils advocate, he wasn't entirely accurate.

The oil companies did not contribute money to McCain, EMPLOYEES of oil companies contributed money. There is a difference. Also, McCain received approximately 1.2 mil from oil company employees, Obama, approximately $500,000. Millions upon millions of dollars are pouring into these campaigns. McCain received about $700,000 more oil-related money than Obama. Think about it, is it really that much of a difference?

  • For me, this was the "Obama keynote" moment of this convention! He was amazing. I can't wait to see what he does next.

  • He's a good populist orator. Great speech.

  • Such a great speech! He should have a lot more attention than the news channels have given him.

  • Vote OBAMA! Time to destroy capitalism and reject liberty!! We all need to contribute as one, under a massive government so they can re-distribute the wealth of us, our fathers and our grandfathers to those who need it far more than the rich!! Time to GET BIG OIL, the coal companies the BIG auto industry and the evil PHAMACUTICAL COMPANIES!! TIME TO FINALLY PUNISH the Corporations and get the rich and and successful and give it to the poor in the inner cities who deserve it!!! VOTE OBAMA'08

  • From up here in Canada. I still can't believe that Karl Rove is not in jail. He would be if he were up here in Canada. I'm Conservative BUT am in love with your Democratic nominee Barack Obama and his supporters. Good Luck in November. We Canucks need new leadership in your Whitehouse who respects other members of the International community. President Bush tries, but is too busy trying to be tougher than his DADDY was. Hillary gave a great speech as did old lion of the Senate, Ted Kennedy.

  • Rove, unfortunately, doesn't do a lot that's technically illegal. Evil, sneaky, backhanded, profoundly unfair and contemptuous? You bet. Illegal? Unfortunately, no, unless you could make a case for widespread fraud.

  • Regarding former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman, Rove deliberately put a political opponent in prison based on trumped up charges. The GOP couldn't beat the most successful Democratic politician in recent Alabama history at the ballot box. So instead, at Karl Rove's direction, the Bush Justice Department used U.S. attorneys to cook up a false criminal case against Siegelman in order to hand the Governor's Mansion over to the Republican Party.

  • I forgot that I had heard about that... good point.

  • I love that.

He should add - Mcsame on ove's leash

  • so great...really.

  • Just Awesome.

  • The next Barack Obama...!!!!!!!!

  • One of the highlights so far. He has the Bush swagger but with a brain and a cool wit.

  • This was my favorite speech of the night. And one of the best speeches I have seen for a long time.

  • i can't believe none of the "24 hour news channels" bothered to air this.

  • CNN aired it. I'm not sure about MSNBC, but I remember watching it on CNN and was mesmerized by this man's wonderful words and laid-back, clear-cut message.

  • beautiful diction
