  • my 86 f150 inline 6 will probably get about 12mpg because my engine is good but i live in connecticut and theres a lot of hills here. how many miles does the 82 f150 have? how many did your 85 have? in one of your videos you said like 472,000 but im just making sure

  • @fordstrummer the 85 i had had about 470K on it, and it was beat to crap. My dads only has about 130K with a complete rebuild and Board.0030 over

  • how much gas mileage did your dad get with this truck? how much did you get with your old 1985 f150?

  • @fordstrummer he got about 14-16 MPGs.... mine got 10-11 MPGs due to a shot engine

  • awesome truck. can you do a video of starting it? i have a 1986 f150 4x4 straight 6 four speed. Those old fords are the best trucks out there.

  • I'm going to warn you man about the turbos and why you usually never see 300s with them. first off, the 300 (I own one and would never supercharge it or turbo it) is known to warp the shit out of the head because of the compression, and no, lowering it won't do anything cuz you're still force feeding the thing. EFI makes a great difference if you can do it. but if you do turbo charge it, just becareful and don't be surprised if the head cracks or warps. but other than that, good job on it man :D

  • @WarWolfAngel001 1.The heads are going to be done on this so thats a plus, 2. EFI is junk, it only good to start on cold ol days but a shit ton to go wrong with. but thanks for the heads up :D... we already know about this and got everything ready to roll. thanks for watching!!

  • @dodgedrummer Ah okay bud. yeah, a lot of the EFIs did have problems, ironically, mine hasn't. has more then 300,000 miles I think and really haven't messed with the EFI system. awww well, either way, you're keeping it carb just like it was, I respect that. yeah, good idea on the head. no problem man!! :D keep it up man, its fun watching this shit go and go

  • The turbo 300 sounds awesome idea would love to see that come together i have seen a a few supercharged but none turboed and there is a guy that make a cross flow head from a set of chevy lt heads if you are interested

  • Nice work. I'm going to turbo my 83' f250 with a 300. I'm going to run a megasquirt with a latter 300 fuel injection system. My truck is two wheel drive, and will be the ultimate sleeper.

  • Yup, LMC trucks is a great place for restoring trucks :D

    For your 5 speed, be sure to get a ZF5 witch are only found in F250's and F350's.

    You'll have to find a F250/350 with either a 300, 302, or 351, they all use the same bell housing bolt patern.

    A good mod to the carb 300 is EFI 300 manifolds witch would be awesome with a turbo.

    That 300 sure is clean, no oil leaks!
