  • After 30 years, this never gets old! Love it!

  • I was watching this at work, and a colleague started asking me if I do drugs.

  • i remember playing this in the summer concert at school, those were good times :)

  • It's sad to think these guys were eaten shortly after as refreshments for the show. RIP. Gingerbreads. Burp.

  • lol soooooooooooo funny

  • still genius - still makes me smile.

Great post Lord Fandangaloid! i love you

  • feel like I´m made out of gingerbread...wonderful song!

    thank you

  • @carl22069 Yes, it is. If you listen closely to the lead gingerbread man's voice, you may notice that he sounds quite a bit like Bert from Sesame Street.

  • Uh huh

    Uh huh

  • good nightmare fuel

  • wicked.....

  • So the muppeteers are in the costumes?

  • Yes.

  • They must have had so much fun rehearsing and learning this dance. I just wish I knew who was who.

  • @RabbitDance

I think the muppeteers recorded the back up tracks, and there are dancers in the costumes, with Frank Oz performing the main gingerbread puppet.

  • @hermanandmaxwell That's what I think too (the possibility of the people in the gingerbread costumes being professional dancers instead of puppeteers and that the Muppeteers recorded the voices before shooting, that is)

  • cool i didnt know it was on the muppets show! this song is sweet lol

  • For over 30 years this song has been on my mind. Thank you

  • @pinkandjefflynne

Me too. I wan't even sure I had the title right.

  • Erm scariest thing I have ever SEEN! You see it scared all the spelling clean out of my head!

  • @Goandmakethetea Uh Hu Uh Hu!

  • That is the scariest thing I have ever scene! No wonder I couldn't watch the muppets as a kid!!!

  • sound's like they had Bobby Sherman's versionj of this song when they made this.

  • good song but I'll take the Mike Curb Congregation version...

  • I wonder if Oz was only used as the lead singing appearance because he refused to be one of the FULL BODIED gingerbread men.

  • Um...I don't think any of the main Muppet guys were in those suits. They most likely were professional dancers.

Remember, all the Muppet songs are pre-recorded.

  • @TServo2049 According to Muppet Wiki, Jim, Richard, Jerry and Dave were in the suits. Frank got the lead singing hand puppet because he hated doing full-bodied Muppets. :P

  • Where does this song originate?

  • Composed by Michel LeGran

    Lyricist: Alan Bergman, Marilyn Bergman

  • this is great, the muppets' first skit from the first season.

  • Actually it's the first skit from the second season.

  • @jazzfolkrocker You mean the SECOND season. :p

  • Love this song

  • This rocks. Excellent post. Reminds me of when i lived with a ginger bread man in Leeds. Big Surf love
