You cant "cure" dyslexia, its just a different way of thinking. You can have a different page colour but it ain't gonna help us remember the order of the months. Dyslexia was really tough for me when I was a kid, I was really smart but I couldn't even spell my own name or read basic words. And now as you can see I am relitively ok at spellng,I even have a degree. I still forget things and I still mix words up when Im talking, but its me, I wouldn't be me if I wasn't dyslexic :)

how to cure dyslexia is an erronated question, you don't "cure" dyslexia. I don't want to be a prick but information on dyslexia is hard to find and people trying to "cure" dyslexic people is quite insulting.
Fair enough. But I think dyslexia is a bad thing because it hinders a learning process. Most dyslexics would (I would think) want to not have it. I have dyscalculia and I don't want it.
it dosnt hinder a learning process at all, but does prevent you getting a job that demands abit of paper making you a outcast ,you can be the best programmer in the world with a nack for electronics though if your dyslexic someone with a bit of paper whos never been near a computer will take your place and so on until you end up driving your car untaxed and insursured cos you couldnt do the paper test into a brick wall
"Car untaxed and [un]insured"- That's a hindrance. That's the whole point. Dyslexia makes working with written language difficult. Learning to use language and be verbal is a learning process. I know people can cope with it, I can cope with dyscalculia easily enough, but it IS a disability, ergo, it hinders a learning process. I'm not trying to say it's legitimate or it's not (I think it's very legitimate) but denying it's a learning disability is stupid.
well its like giving right handed can-opener to a left handed person there never going to be as good as a right handed person,but is it a disabilty when theres left handed can openers? i can read and write perfectly fine but i scan read left to right rather then the right way though the system has nothing for that which made my education suffer id of been better off in iran,but my learning abilty is fine but there is no left handed can-opener to make reading and writing easyer
but yeah ill never accept i have learing disablity if anything its the system thats disabling perfectly normal intelligent people that are just wired diffrently
u can get jobs when u have dyslexia i have a really bad case of it and im a graphic designer and it a learnin diffuculty so yes it does make it harder for people to learn quickly but we r better at other things than people that dont have it
at the end of the day Dyslexia is a pain in the ass i wish i didn't have it but i know i won't be denied a job just because i have dyslexia and dyscalcular, especially since there are calculators and spell checkers to do it for us. Besides most people that are dyslexic have a really high IQ.

I didn't know until now that I am dyslexic. I just double worked myself on everything and tried to make it appear that I was getting by but it really shows when I talk or type. Being Dyslexic showed me how pointless and a waste of time school is! Every day learning about shite that I would never use or need for a job!
I enjoy learning about Business processes and procedures as well as logic! I enjoy fixing Pcs and configuring servers!
If I learned about the things I wanted and enjoyed doing, I wouldnt have had to pay for night school for 4 years!
Because I never met the grades from high school to go to college for free!
