If your friend's child was raped, it was by an individual, not the Church and that person should be held accountable. The incidence of child sex abuse is in fact higher in Anglicanism than it is in the Catholic Church, but it is only in the Church that we are taking measures to assure that it never happens again.

The Catholic faith passes down the 2000 year old teachings of Jesus Christ, fully God and fully Human, and his Apostles, whilst churches like the Anglican Church seem to be rebelling against those very teachings.

@Nimo753 Finally, Anglicanism is most certainly not the "way to Heaven" but is instead a schismatic and heretical aberration of the faith invented by the schismatic Henry VIII, the heretical Thomas Cranmer, and others. It does not enjoy Apostolic Succession nor does it have a valid priesthood or the true Eucharist.

But since you know Church history so well, I'm sure you know all of these things already.

This is nice, but it opens up Pandora's box to the married catholic man to ponder as to why he cannot be ordained a catholic priest? We can understand that the current catholic priests made and understand their vows. But what about the future catholic priests thinking there is an opening for the possibility of marriage? How can Rome continue to claim to be Catholic, yet violate Canon law? This is in direct violation of laws such as the Council of Chalcedon, Canon #29, and quite a few others.
