  • I totally agree with you, some people who never knew the truths started to speak shit

  • He did the right thing.

The 'ian' on the end must ryhme with the word 'yawn'.....

(Again no strong emphasis on the vowel 'a'...short vowel sound only.) thanks.

btw, his name is not pronounced AbraHAME-ian...you make it sound like you are referring to 'ham and cheese'. it's pronounced Abrahamian , plain and simple. short vowel sound on the 'a' .....

  • The only reason why he reacted the way he did was because he went from a silver medallist to a bronze medallist - over a supposedly poor penalty call against him. That's why. Plus this 'bad call' against him happened before.

  • Even if they do give the medal to him instead -the question is ....after what? after the heartbreak? You may as well make a movie out of it....as long as HE knows he didn't fumble up and as long as his coach and peers know...that's what matters.Too bad things coudn't have been different , but politics always gets inthe way of things , that's nothing new.....

  • Think aboute if a judge in FIFA Worldcup football semifinale are from the same country as one of the team. I say that match wouldnt even start and FIFA would give that country a penalty. That is why we accept missjudgement that the referee may do.

  • There was no Italian judge. Judges were from Cuba, Switzerland and Canada.

  • @templarus1000 THEY SUCKED!!!

  • @templarus1000

He is an Italian from Switzerland. Vice President of Fila is also Italian Federal Chairman and they are best buddies.

  • its the facking strongest tning you can do it all whas made up so the chinese should winn

  • what? You crazy! Wrestling is one of the original genres of the olympics.

  • he would have won the gold if they dident make a bad penelty call on him... go sweden!

  • part2

"It is in an e-mail that elusive head of wresling asociation Raphael Martinetti provide answers to three questions

from SvD on how Fila treated Cas judgement. For example, Fila has not put out the judgement on its home page, where,

however, Abrahamian and Swedish wresling asociation condemned in harsh terms and even threatened with action.

Fila has now also, from the TT, requested the clips from the Swedish newspapers, which deals with "Ara affair."

  • This is the head of the international wresling asociation, Raphael Martinetti comments on the Ara affair.

    part1

"Fila, the international wrestling asociation, will not bow to sport's arbitration Cas Court of Arbitration in Sports)and its judgement in the row between the Swedish Olympic wrestler Ara Abrahamian, and Fila.

It is not their table, claiming Martinetti.

-- A curious statement, said the IOC's Swedish member Gunilla Lindberg. Cas is the sport's highest court, and it decided

    the case."

  • This is what Fila (Fédération Internationale des Luttes Associées)think about the Olympics:"The Beijing Olympic Games that have just ended were a huge success for FILA and wrestling got the highest audience ratings of all combat sports. From the competition point of view, apart from the Swedish wrestler's action that discredited FILA, no match was marred by any refereeing mistake that called a change in the results"

  • he could have taken the medal and then protested = wouldn't get much result!

and Fila could silece it down

This way = it's like screaming in every reporters ear about the corruption

and Fila can't silence it down

it may have cost Ara the medal and every chance to compete in the olympic in the future!

but corruption won't be able to work as easily anymore!

    Ara, you got my respect!

  • I think he was right lots of balls the guy has

good for him. I heard the Italians have never won a Gold, and the president of the wresting comittie was a Italian man go figger

  • ah-brah-hah-mee-ahn.

is kind of how you pronnounce it.

The interesting thing about this is the fact that the judge on the mat didn't react. two of the other three did. And according to the rules, their decision overrules his.

The people the swedish team complained to claimed he got the penalty for one thing, then changed their mind. Oh, did I mention the top men AND the judge is italian?

2004 wasn't so bad. this, however, was a joke.

Bitter wrestler's protest justified, court says By the Associated Press

Posted Saturday, August 23, 2008 6:04 AM ET

BEIJING (AP) - Turns out the wrestler who was stripped of his bronze medal for dropping it in disgust had good reason to be angry, the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled Saturday.

  • Of course he had the right. It's human emotion. It had nothing to do with the other medallists. We've seen people trying to argue on a more calm level with referees, it doesn't work. Nice vid ^^

  • To be honest I do not know every aspect of this conterversial call. In retrospect Ara should know the game rules and how corrupt they are... In order to achieve the ultimate completion he should have been well aware of the loop holes. I hear these "holes" are common. Regardless I respect this sport over the many childish games people grow up to play and call themselves athletes. However MMA would hold precedence and would resolve all contraversies if it were the sport rather than singular styles

  • He said in the swedish newspaper yesterday that, quote "It was all about myself, and no one else. I thought, should i take this medal and never be able to look at it again." The answer being "No".

Every person competing in professional wrestling knows about the corruption, all Ara did was not to accept it. Since he doesn't want the medal anyway, they might as well take it and that way make him a martyr. Cowards.

  • nice vid yay first comment
