@iPR0SH0T it's a classic display of the 'God' 251, although he has altered it masterfully to some extent, it can exhibits all the distinguishable traits....this type of line can only be performed by a being who has ascended and risen to the rank of a God.

@iPR0SH0T The harmony is atonal at that moment, there's no functional relationship between the notes he's playing other than that of the intervals between the individual notes that he is playing VERY fast. It almost sounds like his own funky version of 12 tone serialism.

@Contrapunctus1 I totally agree. You often hear Paul Hindemith's influence in their playing as well. "Inventions and Dimensions" by Herbie is one of my all-time favorites. If you like modern jazz, contemporary classica, or both, it's a great one to hear often.

It is a rare video of two awesome players who both demonstrate exceptionality(not a word) in one recording that doesn't draw the attention of some horrible, music-hating troll...and i am happy to watch this video while reading no offensive comments.
