  • @Valeciaf Already!

  • I might've asked you this already, but how far back do your Houston commercials go? I'm looking for one from 1979-80.

  • I just had to stop by and listen.. ive been singn this song for a week now while sittin in traffic downtown and had to come by and make a post on fb... U AINT TEXAS UNLESS U KNOW THIS SONG LOL

  • This is called... what a child in the 80's would see on Houston tv midday during the summers. Probably between reruns of the Batman live action show and the Monkees.

  • no dislikes

  • my favorite line is WE PUT THE "YEEHAW BACK IN YOUR MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION"

  • @ggm888 I often wonder how many people go there and say that they think their motor is out of yeehaw.

  • Anyone got one with Paul Bosch from wresting??

  • This shoulda won awards ...

  • haha houton texas!

  • I remember first seeing that commercial when I moved to Texas with my family in 1990 and then some years later seeing the updated version, which wasn't as good as the original and every so often I sing that song. I was at Thunderbolt a few months ago and it looks much different in that area now...

  • awesome

  • I remember singing this as a kid hahaha

  • This makes me feel so good. Both getting to view the commercial jingle and read the nice comments. You see, our Mom, Bonnie Miller wrote this jingle and also sang it too. She also put that whole commercial together too!She and our Dad Phillip were killed in a car wreck in 1996 and God how we still miss them. They were such awesome people and talk about a unique and entertaining upbringing! I sure wish I had a copy of this myself. Thanks for posting this.

  • @tameurysm WOW!

  • I LOVE IT!!! I takes me back to the Days when Bewitched and I dream of Genie Use to come on the 20 Vision Station!

  • I haven't the foggiest clue why YouTube put this video in my recommended to watch file.

  • I know this sounds crazy, but my dad used to date this woman for a couple of months when I was a kid.

  • I really miss Houston back in the 80's.. Back in those times I was a kid and it was one of the most magical times I have ever experience in my life.. Born and raise in Houston and till this day, Houston doesn't feel like that anymore but I try my darndest to feel good like the olden days..

  • I just drove past Thunderbolt!! Houston!

I still sing this song. So glad you found it!

  • Unfortunately this diddy is Permanently Burned into my Brain from all the TV watching in Houston as a Boy. Im sure this commercial comes up hundreds of times while watching old reruns in the middle of the day, the time this commercial use to play...cheap ad time and only out of work or "Truck Driver School Wannabees"

...We still believe in value, and we pass it on to you. Love it "Like" me

  • Thanks Guys,

    Skip Hartley

  • I remember watching this commercisal as a kid. Man, what a find.

  • brings back childhood memories but dont let them rebuild your engine. My engine is giving me trouble i have 10,000 miles on the rebuild and i have failing oil pressure and knock sensor keeps tripping. Hey I spent $6,000 for this. STAY AWAY FROM THESE FOOLS!!!!!

  • It gets under your skin. And it stays there. It was an unforgettable ad.

I always found the coincidence of the Cadillac's plate having the same number as the area code. That was another unforgettable part of it.

  • yup. i too remember every word to this song. 32 yrs. old and still i sing this sometimes. its amazing how this commercial had such an effect on people. viva la houston. harrisburg and wayside. i think its still there. they need to do a sequel.

  • i remember being about 7 years old and watching this commerical lol. Makes me feel old haha

  • Wow!! This brings me back to sittin indian style on the floor in front of the tv singing this song..wishing my hair was blonde...I love this commerical!!!!

  • OMFG... i remember these as a kid...bwahahahahahaha

  • Best commerical EVER!!

  • RIP Bonnie Miller, the singer/songwriter of this commercial & many others in the Houston area. Also my beloved Grandmother. <3

  • I'm sure they must have the same phone number after all these years..

  • yup, they still have the same number! Just advertised with the zip code since Houston went to the 10-digit format.

  • Love it!

  • This song has been popping up in my head for a couple of months now.....remembering it as a kid, ,so I decided to see if it was on youtube and OMG! I am 33 years old and still remember every word to it! WOW! This is my favorite commercial! Even though I moved away from Texas when I was in high school, Houston will always be home. This commericial was AWESOME!!

  • AWESOME!!!!

We also need: "...If IW Marks can make my face look pretty, just think of what it can do for you." (Paul Bosch).

  • I still know all the words to this jingle as well. Really this commercial is just as engrained in me as the sesame street numbers. The favorite commercial ever.

  • OMG! I know this by heart as well, lol. The remake one is okay but the original is the best! Too bad it's in the middle of the freakin hood/ghetto.

  • FWIW, that's changing. I live about a mile away and the neighborhood is definitely coming back.

  • I remember seeing this commercial as little girl. I still know the commercial jingle by heart....lol and I am 29 yrs old soon to be 30 this july...

  • I remember this commercial, and I love how that Caddy just "wallows" out of the driveway at the end.

  • actually, id like to see the remake that was made in the 90's or whatever. I know you can make it happen, guys!

  • ohhhhhh shit man! this was a classic ass commercial! I miss Houston man! 5 Stars

  • Im Happy to see you guys still like the commercial after all these years! Thank you for your support

  • The 90s one was made where I live on harrisburg!

  • so was this one =)

  • Haha I love this commercial. :)

My grandpa's car can be seen in the background. :P

  • Where the hell did you dig THIS up??? That's an awesome find!

Now all we need are the Yellow Cab "Hayyyyyes Street" ads. :D

  • You know, I actually do have it somewhere. If I'm not mistaken, the same tape since it was right around the same time! I'll have to find that tape sometime.

  • @Houstontvnews Oh my, or the Paul Bosch I.W. Marks commercials where he is sporting large diamond earrings, or Mr. Norman llame Mr. Norman commerials, or old school Mattress Mack (and Mattress James) commercials. I think I've been a Houston native WAY too long. hahaha

  • @digitalaether And, even though he was based out of California, don't forget Cal Worthington and his "dog" Spot.

  • So awesome! thanks. I still sing this song all the time. lol

  • The old Sears in the background.

  • Much better than the remake they did

  • Yea! Thanks!

  • And back when there was only one area code.

  • SCORE!!!

  • classic!

  • FINALLY!

I've been waiting for someone to put this out for years! Thanks!

  • I love this commercial! I used to sing it all the time :)

  • thanks

  • WOW, I remember this commercial as a child. I remember a lot from your videos. It reminds me of Houston and how much I miss living there. I miss Marvin Zindler too. Thanks for the video.
