its not an app of photoshop for iPad. its an app to share ur screen with your mac or pc... its just letting you share a screen with your pc. it works on wifi with your computer, so you have to be in the range. its not something that you can work on, when you are on the move..
I have just downloaded it and wouldn't recommend it at all it cost me $13.00 and is very slow and pixilated =( I am a photoshop user and thought it would be great! Sadly I was mistaken This guy seems to have it working so any suggestions? I have a macbook pro and ipad 2....
The best tablet is the Asus EP 121. I've finally found after looking endlessly for such a tablet for a reasonable price. You won't find a ipad or other tablets where you can rest you palm/hand on the screen while drawing. Its unnatural for your hand not rest on the screen which makes drawing/coloring hard so this is the solution. Though if more people buy this tablet the lower the price will go. Its pressure sensitive and allows photoshop. Its a little over a $1000. Draw easy and quickly.
Wow this seems to be solving my problem. I am looking to replace a Wacom drawing tab with my iPad. What version sox would I have to use to use this air display. Thank you
ooo and lets say if your at a different house with wifi and you take out your ipad and connect to there wifi can you access your computer from there house or dose it have to be your wifi at where eve your computer is
Anyone know if there is any lag especially working on large files in Photoshop? Also I heard iPads don't detect pressure but there is some hack for this.
@UtubeHyperboleGuy I would imagine there would be some lag, all depending on the size of the file. There is no hack for pen pressure, the iPad just has a basic touchscreen. Some apps will mimic pen pressure by speed, but none actually based on pressure. Is that all?
Well clearly this doesn't work as well as I'd like. I guess if I had my bluetooth keyboard hooked up to the mac that'd be a step forward, but how much would you say lag, and button size, effect usability?
Could you demonstrate some more using the paintbrush tool? I'm interested in using something like this for photoshop painting, but am concerned about latency
This is awesome! Thanks for posting? What is the range on this? For example can I turn on my computer and be ten miles away interacting though my wifi, or does it have to be in range of my home computer?
@MegaSami, just download Air Display for the iPad @ the app store and then download the software for your computer from the Air Display website. Once it's on your computer you will be able to use your iPad as a secondary monitor. Go into the Air Display settings and make sure the touch screen interaction is on and the set the secondary monitor ( your iPad) as primary display. Now you basically are running your main computer from your iPad. You do need to have a wifi network setup for all of thi

@BrittneyHind check your resolution. For apps, such as this, the resolution (on your computer) can make the image on the iPad look pixilated.

meh, Photoshop isnt that great
You can do all the same important art stuff on SAI that you can on Photoshop and it isn't a power hog.
Crimsonriven 5 months ago
@Crimsonriven I've heard of SAI and wondered How can I buy it? And is it that much better than photoshop?
razzledazzleboomerz 4 months ago
@razzledazzleboomerz I can PM a link to download a activated version if you want.....
Paint tool sai is better than photoshop in blending colors, sketching, and lineart but for everything else...NOPE...
But in the end it completely depends on your skills as a artist....
VideoGameResearcher 3 months ago
@Crimsonriven Are you serious? :D
Photoshop has a 1000x more features than sai and is used by industry professionals.....
Sai is a program that allows artist to paint, sketch, and do lineart with a simple interface thats good for beginner's.
I use both programs but its a bit of a stratch to put Sai on the same level as photoshop.....
VideoGameResearcher 3 months ago
@VideoGameResearcher I have seen far more impressive works of digital art done on Sai then I have on Photoshop
having more features does not make Photoshop a superior product
