Besides Tamiya, there's Hasegawa, Aoshima, Arii, Kyosho, Dragon, and Academy, just to name a few.
They've got more in Japan that we have in North America. Most of the model kit makers of the 20th century have been bought out by Revell-Monogram or folded.
that model store seems like heaven!!! i have never seen so many in 1 place!

could someone please tell me what he puts into the jar of paint at the end of the video?
mgarandsniper 1 month ago
@mgarandsniper Looks like talcum powder to give some texture to the paint. Given the scale, a "simple" paint would be too smooth maybe...

I wish I could build a finished one.
I like it, but I don't think I can put it together myself and make it look THAT good. :S

I built the other Tamiya Kubelwagen (I'm not sure what scale it was, but it's smaller than this).
It's a great kit. A lot of parts were damaged when I moved, but since it's a Tamiya, I can always order replacements.
Maybe I'll fix it up this summer.

Osaka City is famous for being home to several of them! -I would prefer to visit Osaka rather than Tokyo. :-)

This comment has received too many negative votes show
i think they just use tamiya kits because they live in japan and the only model manufacturer in jaapn is tamiya.

Dragon is chinese (hong-kong), Academy is korean!...Not every asian manufacturer is Japanese, unfortunately. :-(
BigAndTall666 2 years ago
For new people who are getting into modeling tamiya is the best but if you are expert modeler you go for dragon's kits.
EvilKorbinDallas 3 years ago
You ALWAYS go for TAMIYA!!! X:-(
BigAndTall666 2 years ago
they are good but for large tank models dragon models come with better details and photo etched metal parts and they aren't expensive
