I heard an early version of this song at a festival in The Hague, Holland. Blixa solo with only use of his voice. That's the first time I heard the song and the first time I heard Blixa with his experimental performances using only his voice. I was very impressed, one of the most inspiring performances I've seen.

Ah, that: Blixa at Crossing Border, I believe it was 1995. He did a purely vocal version of NNNAAAMMM, using the looping microphone pedal operated systed for the first time in public. And yes - it was impressive as hell.

It's my impression, that this song is dedicated to themselves. In my oppinion, they are making Advanced Ambient Motor Music, using machinery, lacking New Age music. So i would say that Einstürzende Neubauten are the New No New Age Advanced Ambient Motor Music Machine!
