I wonder what division these yahoos are playing? wait I think the Hill Billy division. I'm confused, they look like they have IPSC gears but their targets are for something else. LOL
UNFUCKINGbelievable!!! These must be bunch of hillbilies from the mountain top. Now I undesrtand the Canadian Government's dilema. I won't even trust this guys with water pistol for fear I might get wet. LOL
Is just stupid. One guy and an RO still fumbling with his gun while the other shooting a rifle didn't even clear his rifle before droping it then proceeded downrange and started shooting his pistol. Whether or not the camera angle did now show whether the shooter is in front of a malfunctioning rifle is irrelevant... he did go downrange of that rifle.
I'm glad this is in Canada... I would have DQed everyone including the RO for unsafe gun handling and to think that this is considered a competition?
One guy is trying to load and fire an empty magazine in his Mini-14, flips the safety on and off, ejects the magazine, loads the magazine, while another shooter STEPS IN FRONT OF HIM DOWNRNGE!?
Everyone is a critic. The camera angle and zoom causes this illusion. The other shooter DID NOT step in front. He was at least 10 yards to the left. No less than 30 people were watching this event from behind and if it were unsafe someone would have said something.
I don't know what you're trying to say. But these guys are not novices, it is a timed competition and a jam with an unfamiliar rifle can ruin your score.
The course is designed my military instructors and is divided into two ranges. If you look carefully there is a rope that the other competitor cannot cross that keeps him out of angle. You will also see that the rifles are left on the bench pointed downrange as the shooter proceeds. The shooter is always out of angle either from his own benched rifle or the other shooter, supervising range officers ensure compliance. The zoomed in camera gives the illusion of close proximity.
@mvrrc A rope will not prevent a rifle round travelling twice the speed of sound. I don't care if these are special forces and experts.. they are not bullet proof. Plus they don't look to be experts.

I like to do this kind of thing on the weekend, but I like to be drunk and naked. Other weekends I just stay home and drink beer and beat my wife.
