What do you meen opening day private land?? Opening day? or opening day for private land?? Because here in RI we can hunt private land all season I dont knwo im confused haha and oh private land there is a big big 18 that im gonna tag this year.. I wish someone was with me like you guys to film it.. Just over the CT line..
@RealOutdoorsTV Nice nice i have permits for 50 acres 60 acres and 14 acres on a lake the otheres have alot of marsh im tracking a 20 pointer on my trail cam... it will be tough to get him but i will and i'll post the video to you and pics aswell ...
@dudeilove Hey, just saw your comment. I'm in Ct too, and i'm only 14. I was wondering if you could give me some tips on how to ask for permission to hunt on private land. I'm not trying to be inturussive or rude, it's just i have no connections, so to speak, and i have only seen deer in the public land area where i hunt. Any way, thank you very much, and happy hunting :-)
@Fisherguy28 Best way is first, talk to your friends ... see if anyone you know will let you hunt. You've got a better chance to get permission if they know you. Other than that, it's just knockin' on doors ... and NOT in camo ... be dressed nicely. It's not easy ... good luck.
@Fisherguy28 Get a land permit card and have em sign it, and get friendly with people and be nice and kindly ask if it would be ok to hunt your land that you will be clean and not leave any garbage behind.
nice to see a video from Ct. What part of the state do you guys hunt? I've been hunting Litchfield county my whole life and have been lucky enough to kill a few good bucks. Good luck this year, hope to see more successful hunts.
A smart hunter would not have just walked up on the deer without gun in hand and double checking if the animal was dead. Taping the eye with the gun barrel is a Safe and Secure way.
Good point, but we made sure the animal had been expired way ahead of time, and then we filmed the other part before we walked up to it. It was more than a safe situation. But you are correct, if you are walking up on any freshly harvested animal ... you can never be to safe ... good luck in 2009 and thanks for watching.
great shot on a good buck! looking forward to more of your videos!!! by the way kinda disappointed i didnt see any new turkey hunting videos from this year....?
There is a new one up ... and I have six more hunts on film ... just no time to edit them ... hopefully that will change after the first of the year ... stay tuned ... and happy holidays.
Every animal harvested is great to me.Your video shows one real important thing to me. Here in Idaho we are blessed with millions of acres of public land, which gives every hunter the Opportunity to get out there and harvest a nice animal. Although large land owners in the valleys hold some prime hunting spots.Conn. looks beautiful, and I'm glag you shared that with us.
Great shot...nice young buck.....gotta point out that the hunter that killed the deer....did not ahve his tag affixed to the deer before moving it......Thats a must. Happy Holidays.....and remember everyone...tag it after you bag it.
Good point ... we have to watch that ... we only moved it to a clear area for filming, but if you look, he was holding his tag in his hand before we even walked up to the dear, as well as when he moved it ... it was tagged immediately thereafter for cleaning and the drag out. Thanks for the comment ... happy holidays.
if this is on tv, what channel would this be on if i had comcast?
