  • @myspiritsense Did some more research. Found Columbus rec'd 2.5 mil for HPRP program. Just went thru a phase of the program myself and I can tell you from being on the inside that funky things are happening at the Community Shelter Board. Even though I rec'd some assistance, I'm still being evicted and facing homelessness. Columbus is not following the guidelines and have changed so much in the federal rules, there's little hope for the homeless, even with HPRP here in town thru 2012.

  • Did you know that Columbus received over a million dollars for the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid-Rehousing Program (HPRP)? This program will place these homeless and/or about to become homeless into housing for up to 18 months per federal regs. Call the Community Shelter Board @ 614-221-9195 and ask them why they are not following the federal rules and only giving out 1 month's assistance in about all cases. You want this mess cleaned up? Start with the CSB and clean out that office first.

  • @memilitant I'm reasonably sure that most of the money was spent on relocating those who already had public housing so that the public housing they were living in could be demolished to make way for new developers (political favors). Very unfair but the real world is seldom fair these days...

  • Too bad Mr Barric couldn't have donated the dumpster while people were living there. Where we live there are lots of homeless but the police break up the areas before there is too much accumulation. This must be very remote.

  • @sangredelic I'm sure that Mr. Barric and the wonderful people at GFS Chemical Co. would have allowed use of a dumpster if someone had brought up the idea when it was needed early on...Actually, the camp is shadowed by the buildings of downtown Columbus, Ohio and has road access...

  • 1:36 Somebody left allot of eBay money on the table...

  • welcome t o col... no one cares, shit bring your family and move here.....

  • Excellent Video. The world truly has a homeless problem.

  • We appreciate what you are doing to clean up.

What is the music on this video? Very good.

  • Not, surprising. Who owns the property? It is the property owners responsibility to keep an eye on their property to prevent these sites. Judging by the amount of trash it had been used for a long time.
