@poopey3000 its because square messed up the sound programming when they mastered the final version of the game.

this was how it was supposed to sound.

Interesting differences in the dialogue. Seems to be better english than the translation in the full game.

@gregbakerproductions because Sony translated the full game, but square had their own translators do this demo.

starting with ff viii, is when all the good writing and canon from other ff games actually remains intact in the american version.

@gregbakerproductions Yeah, it's still worded a bit oddly in places, but it's definitely better written than what we actually got.

Really I'm hoping they port the original game as unaltered as possible to a modern platform just so we can get a script with the same quality as what SE's been putting out recently.
