  • Woohoo! I ran the Portland Marathon last year and may run again this year. It is a FANTASTIC marathon! Have fun :)

  • Hey- registration is due tomorrow if you want to get in! I hear they have live bands and, yeah, that's really a good race. Thanks so much for commenting! I am really excited - just trying not to get injured :)

  • How DARE you! Now that I know your weight, I'm officially withdrawing my support...

    ;)

You have worked so hard that you have absolutely nothing to apologize for. I am inspired by your ability to stay focused and on track, and I know you're gonna smoke that marathon. I'm looking forward to seeing the updates!!

  • I knew I'd lose you - you've been nothing but unsupportive the whole time! ;) JK and yeah, I'm gonna need LOTS more support to come!

  • Simply AWESOME!!! We'll all be here to cheer you on for the marathon :)

  • Thanks - I'll need all the support I can get!

  • WOW!!! congratulations!!! Since you now know A LOT about running, I´ve been wanting to start exercising again, but trough the years everytime I start I begin gaining weight and I feel bloated, and my jeans start to feel tighter...in ur experience is it normal when one starts exercising, and does it go away????

  • Not sure, but it's could just be new muscle coming through. Or it could be related to your eating habits..? I only experienced this a few weeks at the beginning

  • That is awsome! How great is that to be working towards a marathon goal! I too am training for one and it's in Dec. I can't wait to see how you do. Good luck! :) and gratz on making your goal weight!

  • Thanks - I saw you're in a running group, I've been toying with that idea

  • You made it! Congratulations!

I say 145 just so I can get there. Who knows if 145 is the right weight for me?

  • That's true- I don't think you really know until you just reach a point that feels right for you. Thanks!

  • you're so sweet and so great. i know numbers are super personal, and to be honest i don't really have any idea of what my goal weight is yet. i just know it's significantly less than what I am now!

i'd love to be able to do a pull-up someday :)

  • Keep doing what you're doing and you'll get there! :)

I think it will be pretty exciting when I can just grab onto that bar in the gym and do one in front of the macho gym types! LOL

  • hey girly! congrats on making to your goal!! and also on making new goals!! you could so easily just say.. k.. i did it.. im done.. but you aren't doin that! Thats awesome! YAY for u!!

  • thanks - I know if I don't set new goals I'll end up right where I started, and this is just too great to give up! :)

  • Its official!!!! YAY! congrates and good luck on your future goals! I'll be looking forward to your updates on that.

  • thank you kit :)

  • Hey way to go. I know sharing numers is hard. I know hearing others start where you want to be is hrd for some. BUT everyone knows how they feel and what feels good to them. so you just do what makes you feel at the top of your game. I am looking forward to hearing how your runs go.

  • Thanks Stace. Numbers are very strange, but you're right- each person has different numbers, and we should embrace that.

  • Congrats. Glad to see you are setting follow-on goals.

  • Oh yeah- I have to! I don't want any slippery slope!

  • WOW a marathon! Fun STUFF! Best of luck! and CONGRATS on your goal! Keep us updated with how your training goes!

  • Will do!

  • And here is your official "good job". I think the Marathon is a wonderful goal to work toward. Best of luck. ipods are nice. I am getting tired of carrying my 8 track and a car battery on my runs.

  • Hey- I think that counts for an added strength routine, doesn't it?
