The battle is never yours it's always the lord's. the funny thing is you dont find alot children thanking God even just for life. but i am a thirteen year old girl and i have no one else to turn to but God. so i will keep my head up. and thank God just for life itself.
Thanks to all of you whom responded to my post. I am still struggling....deeply struggling, but I am alive, I suppose. I am doing my 'homework,' so to speak. I write to my George, everyday. I see my father, often. I cannot see my George, for I was unstable, & had to move , with away from TX. I have joined an online suicide survivors group, and I am trying to establish a relationship with God. It is hard, considering what I have been allowed to go through. Ty, all!!! Bless all of you.

Merhippy, you do have a purpose in this life, God said in the book of Jeremiah "for I know the thought I think toward you saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end" what happened to you is terrible, but this is the time that God wants you to seek Him so that He can reveal Himself to you, God could use you to be a help to others who have gone through similar situations. My boyfriend/my best friend in the world shot, & killed himself, on Sept. 29. My father then died on the 13th of Nov. It is very hard for me to believe I have any purpose left. I miss my father; that I was unable to help him regain health, & happiness. My boyfriend, oh, my boyfriend...so abstract, the pain. I cannot imagine why God would allow this. I know, in my heart, deep in my heart, I could have spared my boyfriend from taking his life. Terribly miss him, & think of joining him.

My aunt just went through Congestive Heart Failure, ALMOST DIED TWICE, and shes still here. Shes a living testimony and its all because of Gods grace and his mercy. I kept telling her all throughout her sickness, the battle isnt yours, its the lords! HALLELUJAH!

As a musician and lover of great music, whether it is sung or played Yolanda Adams performance of "The Battle Is Not Yours" is unquestionably outstanding.
The sudden variations range the song requires and Yolanda chose in her interpretation required tremendous accuracy. Very few notes were slightly flat. However, given Yolanda's amazing skill & talent, these few exceptions did not betray her amazing ability.
I say all of this as a dedicated Atheist, ENTIRELY disinterested in the words sung.

My aunt just went through Congestive Heart Failure, ALMOST DIED TWICE, and shes still here. Shes a living testimony and its all because of Gods grace and his mercy. I kept telling her all throughout her sickness, the battle isnt yours, its the lords! HALLELUJAH!

As a musician and lover of great music, whether it is sung or played Yolanda Adams performance of "The Battle Is Not Yours" is unquestionably outstanding.
The sudden variations range the song requires and Yolanda chose in her interpretation required tremendous accuracy. Very few notes were slightly flat. However, given Yolanda's amazing skill & talent, these few exceptions did not betray her amazing ability.
I say all of this as a dedicated Atheist, ENTIRELY disinterested in the words sung.

I was sitting here listening to this I have a16 yr old daughter in placement have been in an out of placement for the last three yrs. She has not been home a complete year we have a court date on the 19th all who believe in the power of prayer .This song remined me the battle is not mine pray for us as i pray for all
