I'm a huge fan or celtic drumming/piping and japanese taiko and I'm of indian descent. Just listening to indian tabla and sitar alone makes me think of Uilleann pipes and irish drums. They are perfect parallels of eachother, no wonder they fuse stylistically so well.
I just can't get over how creative your music is. You guys are one of the few (if not the only) who actually managed to do fusion right! And you guys have had nothing but positive feedback which is great.
i dont think in my entire life have i ever enjoyed music as much as i enjoyed this im definately picking up tickets fo their 2010 Penticton show and all my friends co workers and peers will hear about u guys
Great Music....Finally there is a group reuniteing the tribes of the Celts back with its Indo-Aryan family though music. Gaelic speaking tribes and Sanskrit speaking tribes were from the same Ancient family who split with one tribe travelling to the lands of Britania the other to Northern Ancient India settling in the Indus Valley. God bless the decendents from India and Ireland bringing the reunification of tribes back through music.
You guys are absolutely fucking amazing. I'm an international business major and your music reminds me why I went into the field, namely to see an eclectic mix of music which goes beyond ethnicity and focuses on beauty found within all cultures.
So looking forward to seeing these guys at the Winnipeg Folk Fest in July!! Don't know why they are not on main stage, but all the same... Our daughter was in a World Beat group with one of these guys a number of years ago in the 'Peg!
TOTALLY awesome music.......for someone who likes dancing and all the ethnic blends of music they play..........totally awesome band with tremendous potenteial for the future.
Caught the band at the Faerieworlds festival in Oregon this past weekend, and they rocked the place - got several hundred hot, sweaty, costumed folks dancing themselves sick in the blazing sun. Terrific music, terrific show.
I've been playing in bands in the US and Canada for over 40 years. I have a secret criterion for 'true' music: if I start tearing up or weeping while listening, it's the real thing. I've never burst into tears on hearing fast stuff before this promo video. That's my take ;-)
@DavidWCramer David I have the same criteria for music, if it moves me to tears I know there is something special , and this promo video alone moves me, I will be seeing them at the end of July.
