Oops, I accidentally removed someone's comment asking about folding it in different directions. There's actually some flexibility in how you want to orient it depending on whether your seat folds to left or right of frame, whether you like to turn your wheel 180 degrees etc ... call BF and discuss!
Though made stronger, Dahon has a system that will do the same but this system costs 25% of a typical Dahon bicycle and, frankly, should have been part of the Bike Friday experience long ago, very long ago. Too, I wasn't impressed with the compactness of the folded design at all. Peddles sticking out and more, it still looked too big.
It's good, though, that Bike Friday continues to improve their design as it certainly needed improvement.
