Matthue Roth, I don't understand why you make a point to mention that Noah is the only person in the Torah to be called a "righteous man" and then portray him in the unpleasant manner that you described the other non-righteous people in the beginning.
So this video is basically saying that Noah wasn't concerned about saving others. Is there any evidence from that in the text? Otherwise that is just an inappropriate interpretation.
@greggbursey That's not what I said at all. Check the end credits, please -- most of this comes straight via the original Biblical text, with tiny bits of elucidation from the Midrash and Rabbi Levi Yitzchok of Berdichev.
@greggbursey I like that interpretation. When I was a child in Sunday school I distinctly remember an image of the Ark on the rough stormy waters, and hundreds of people swimming around it, some holding babies, begging Noah to let them on.
First, where does it say 2 pairs of non kosher animals. I think that it is one pair.
15. "And they came to Noah to the ark, two by two of all flesh in which there is the spirit of life. " does not mean 4 but that the came in pairs. The ark is wrong shape. They stayed on ark for a year, not 40 days. After the 40 days of rain, the water kept raising for 150 days. 24" And the water prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days". Next, Noah DID try to convince the people to do teshuva
@MrMenachemK Care to explain why not? It is a fairly "pshat" retelling of the story with some humorous lines about emus and whatnot, and then it's very clear that Matthue's drash at the end about righteousness is just that: drash. And for what it's worth? It's a drash from an extremely talented student of Torah. We would love to hear what you find inaccurate so that Matthue can respond.

I like the idea of telling the stories of the Torah in cartoon form. However, it needs to be accurate. This video is NOT accurate .
