this is a bug i heard about on gamespot's reveiw... mabe all copies do it at times...dunno...

just go to x:Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\common > copy all files of win32_30_atidx10 folder > past on win32_30_nv8, works for me, beijosmeliga.

Weird thing is that with my duel core it didn't crash or pop up the textures. That was running xp aswell. now with vista 64 and quad core the game runs smoother but the bloody things pop up everywhere lol. I am thinking it might be an ati thing. Nvidia seems to be a little better.

i dunno about that... nvidia is great but i have the same problem.

i've got an nvidia geforce 9800 gtx+(best on the market)

also, i have a pentium 4 and i get that so it's not just my processor

1GB gfx cards

keep your memory settings green

try a few mods

I did all the upgrade and got vista plus all patches and updates etc and it still does it

Could be looking at a hardware defect somewhere. I have given up lol

Whats ir your SO? Try to instal Vista 64 bits, is awesome for the games.

Update the patches and drivers , catalist 9.1 and gta IV patch 1.0.2.

Defrag the Hard drive.

I've got GTAIV, and I can play it with a HD4850, only half of the town's textures are missing. I'll be driving and the suddenly my game will freeze, and I'll look around and everywhere will be blanked. It's really annoying =/
