  • Nice job.

  • @UkesterBrown

    Thanks alot.

  • Hey! Great design. I really like it.

Think you might be able to share some lenghts with me, and the other viewers ofcourse.

I was thinking that I only need three numbers.

    -The lenght of the pole.

-At what height is the hole for the string on the pole.

-And what is the distance between the edge of the bucket and the edge of the resting hole on the 2x4.

I would really like for you to help is out so we can build our own.

    Thanks.

  • @linkoo4 Here are the specs: The pole is about 4 feet long the hole for the cord is about 3 inches from the end of the pole and the hole to rest the pole in is about 2 inches away from the edge of the bucket. Thus is of course not rocket science and if you have looked at any other washtub/tea chest basses you will see they are all simple constructions. Have fun -- there is not much to mess up!

  • Very cool, I've wanted to build one myself for a while and I really like your take on the washtub bass...I'm definitely going to build one now... are you playing it regularly?

  • @Mrstwiggynator Glad you like it! I don't play it much.... some time I'll have to take it to uke club.

  • Good tone!! I want one...

  • @0713mas Thanks a lot! I haven't played it much, but it doesn't take up much space!

  • ingenius!!

  • @confedswede Thanks!

  • cool, great idea!

  • Haha cool what a weird thing to find. I typed in "ukulele cello" and this came up. I wanna make one.

  • That is cool! Nice job!

  • Wow! That's a great idea. Can't wait to hear it in a song.

  • That is soooooo cool!!!!!! I've never seen anything like that before. Awesome my friend!

  • Great idea. Well done.

  • That is spectacular. I get so excited just thinking of making these crazy instruments. I shall have to try!

  • Nice design.

  • One customization you can do is use a wooden curtain ring to slide up and down the pole to give you different notes.

It will save your fingers cutting up... but perhaps your pole needs to be smooth for it to work properly

  • nice tone

  • that's real cool UB! i look forward to seeing it used in a song.

  • Ukester, that thing sounds great! Man, I really long for a skiffle revival, instrument s like that would fit right in.

  • That sounded surprisingly good. Liked the simplicity of the design. I too am a fan of Todd's creations.

  • Good to see your face for a change! Will zap this on to our official Yesterukes handy man. He's created several rhythm gadgets for us. This would be great.
