I believe they chose the wrong phrase when wording this. The point is that they want to teach Spanish the way Spanish people speak it, not the silly proper stuff we are fed in schools. People will get laughed at if they go to any Spanish country speaking like that.
Spanish people are from Spain and this is not the way they speak Spanish.
Also, there's no "latin" (missued term) or american Spanish. Thats silly. Its not the same as it happens with english. There to many countries and many language differences between all of them.
Correct you may be, but they are teaching the LATIN American dialect of spanish. And though it may still be generalized because there are several different colloquialisms depending on where you might go, it is much better than learning in an American classroom from and American teacher who has probably never even seen any sort of spanish speaking country.
Britain / US. Differente countries. Southamerica = lots of countries = lots of different accents.
THERE'S NO LATIN SPANISH, PERIOD.
If the weird language spoken by Mexcicans in the US means for you LATIN SPANISH, thats YOUR problem.
mercjoe72. Are you psychologically a mental person. Are you a Xenophobe or what?
Now what do you have against Mexicans? You sir are an asshole. I never ever said nothing about Mexicans neither anything regarding with Mexico. You sir have issues!
Err, I was looking for latin not spanish, two COMPLETELY different languages.

You wouldn't speak in British English here in the U.S. or else they'll say you come from the Britain
