Too fast... too weird... totally tasteless... The worst interpretation of "Julie-o" I've ever seen/heard... Please, more feeling... more emotion... less technique
Yeah I like how you can totally see his emotion considering the camera is ohhhh 300 feet away. You must not play the cello or any instrument for that sort because obviously you have no idea what your talking about
Ok, I understand that you only can feel the emotion of a player by your sight?... Looking at his/her hands for example?. That's not enough. Listen, please. This is the most important thing for a musician... like me. Bye
I'm not sure if you've ever played "Julie-O," but I have, and I can honestly say that it's intention from Mark Summer was a light and fun piece...and that's pretty much the feel that this gentleman's performance has. I completely disagree that it was "too fast....to weird....and totally tastless." No offense, but i question your musicianship if that's your response after this guy's performance.
well, i totally agree, Julie-O is beast to play, and it's all about fun, (I LOVE playing this piece.) However, this cannot compare to Mark Summer's interpretation, (after who can compare? M Summer did compose it after all.) This guy does rush some parts, but he was still beast. If you notice, Mark Summer plays it pretty fast,bu still manages to be interpretive, and AWESOME, one of his version of this is only 3:16. so kudos to this player who tried to conquer Julie-O.
@celloman6302 dude, he's not talking about seeing. do you see music? he's talking about feeling or hearing it... kinda sounds like you have no idea what you're talking about.
Sound good Palm! WELL DONE!
