Yeah, the fascist regime known as the Zeon (spacenoid superiorty) was great element seen in most gundam titles (79-93, 96). Oh, and there were ADULTS dealing with warfare (save amuro ray). Death to the bishoujo protagonist in new watered-down gundam series. It's just sold out by this point. Zeta Gundam was the best.

you know what i cant fucking wait for, the one gundam series without its namesake, they always organize these interesting groups of soldiers, then the go the anime route of, "only this damned emo teenager can end the war, using his machine of relatively unremarkable design that is somehow invincible" we have had two very short series where it was strait up moble suits blowing the shit out of eachother.

seed was okay destiny killed it but they were some good parts. and the gundam fighting=poor wasup with these super ultiple beams and reverse beam armor lol and in battles most type you can only seem kira busting his ultra beams and going through the zafts.

well this series sdeems interesting but the gundam design doesnt seem too cool for me. maybe its losing the traditional gundam look lol

Yeah. Destiny was still very good. I mean, its Gundam, how can it not be good? Still, Destiny was a seed repeat. The episode where things happened almost matched in some instances. ie. Freedom's distruction- ep. 35. Freedom's intro. - ep. 35. Athrun still needed help coming back.

I read a bit about the new show, and it seems to me that this might involve aliens...

Hope they are not trying to bring down Ideon with the new gundams(aka. overpowering, super-robotizing).

All I'm looking for in this series is for it to have realistic characters(sometime in seed), realistic MS/MA physics, good background information, good reason for the 2(or more)factions to be fightin with each other(Think Zeta) and some very good music( Think CCA, Z, 0083)

i love destiny. I have seen all the gundam series, and i honestly think seed destiny to be one of the better ones.

I do agree there, but the reason I like Destiny is the characters, MS, and the such. There are some parts of destiny I didn't like.

Here's my theory: The writing staff was slowly fired off during Destiny; by the time they reached half-way, there were no writers left, and the show declined. The producers decided instead to write it themselves using bits and pieces of bad SEED fanfic. The result is that Destiny sucked so much, it became a black hole. A black hole that drew in characterization, plot, action, dialouge, and pretty much everything good about Gundam, and laid it back over the original SEED's ending.

No, that's not quite right. The beginning part of Destiny *was* planned out (after the success of Seed it was the most logical thing to do). Once the old cast came back, the writers were winging it and running off public opinion (so I've heard), rather than a set script. The fans wanted Kira and crew in front & center (as opposed to the in the background Whitebase of Zeta) so you had everyone tossed aside.
