One thing I love about Illayaraja's concerts is that he has almost every instrument neede d to capture the essence of his songs from the movies. For instance, in this song you see the guy playing the thavil (which is what gave its characteristic sound), and the guys playing the horns, just like it was in the movie! His concerts have everything: thappu, thavil, urumi, pambai, dholak, mridangam, tabla, etc etc etc
