I hope DadLabs is not advocates homosexual terrorism. Queers are pedophiles not parents. They want to be queer and violate sexual norms. I do not indulge their insanity.
The FMLA now includes "alternative families"? Yes redefining the family for queer pedophiles? Well that's "alternative" to me. Deviating from the norm. Why is the FMLA to account for those who chose to deviate from the norm anyway? Why appease the homosexual child molesting family hating demographic with this nonsense?
actually, every young couple (late 20s to early 30s) i know - relatives and friends - say they're going to do what's best for their family - and vote accordingly. healthcare, college, cost of living - i'm in california - tops mosts lists.
i applaud the DL for raising this topic. suggestion: a good way to dodge the "bias" bullet is to focus on what issues are most important to dads - not moms - and rank them. i.e. 1. college is the most important 2. healthcare ... and why...
Neither candidate is going to do anything positive for this country. It is a bit naive to believe everything (or anything) they say because past history (even recent history) has shown they are nothing but empty promises.
I think it's a real shame that you guys have decided to politicize DadLabs. That's going to turn a LOT of people off.
I also think it is tremendously stupid from a business perspective. I can't imagine standing up in front of all my clients and self-righteously announcing my political views.
Additionally, I think it's a shame that everyone believes there are only two sides to the political debate.
We've really always thought that we are trying to start a conversation about parenting. Obviously, politics impacts our parenting, and it's on everybody's mind. Can't we talk about this? Maybe even keep our sense of humor? We wat your input on third party options, scwallac. Let us know what you think. Lots of issues around parenting are potentially political. Hard to keep it completely out.
I find it really hard to keep a sense of humor about politics these days, there is a lot on the line.
If you insist on venturing in to politics anyway, you should have used a format where the DadLabs folks are an impartial moderator between "unknown" characters representing different points of view. To put the DadLabs Creative Director up there as an advocate of Obama was just tremendously stupid and leavs a bad taste in my mouth.
Perhaps the problem is not that DadLabs is discussing politics. Perhaps the real problem is that DabLabs has failed to remain neutral.
It's very similar to what happens when folks with a Democratic leaning watch Fox news. They're annoyed by the fact that there seems to be a bias, even though the official Fox News position is that they are neutral. People get annoyed when they feel like a TV show is trying to "win them over".
If you do politics, you'll have to walk that line.
keep doing what you do. you're not being "self righteous". scallywag doesnt know what's up. i like how DadLabs is filtering the issues that matter to dads. thumbs up.
I'm just so NOT into Obama... he wants to raise taxes, which will hurt small businesses and families.
I was honestly going to vote Hillary over McCain (they're pretty similar and I'm usually more conservative, but they are both good moderate candidates... yet Hillary just seemed to have a better view on things and a better handle on how to approach them), but now I'm definitely voting McCain. I think we need someone experienced who knows there are no quick fixes.
Hi KatMomof3, and devoted DabLabs commenter..!! I hope you will also consider looking at some of the other 3rd party candidates....In my opinion, it is time to send a message to the two "main" parties that we are not happy with either one of our two "mainstream" options.
you make a good point. I always look at the third party candidates as my husband and I are registered independents.
In fact (hint to anyone in politics who could make this happen) if Hillary were running as an independent, I would totally vote for her.
As it is, we feel McCain is going to be our best pick at this time... but we will continue to watch... if he leads us to believe otherwise, it will have to go to a third party candidate because no WAY will I vote Obama
Funny that new guy asks where the money is coming to give to these programs, yet did he ask about the trillions of dollars we already spent on an illegal war? (that McCain supports?)
You guys are sooooo brave to bringing this subject forward. Best of luck on this. ;-)
