  • The last 5 seconds of the video was worth it. Ha ha.

  • thanks

  • Hey thanks for this video.

I just wanted to ask a question and hopefully you can get an idea of what could be wrong.

On my 95' Eclipse, i have power door locks but when I try to lock or unlock by pressing the power locks button, the passenger side locks do not unlock or lock at all. The driver's side is fine however.

  • @MikeyGunit24

The passenger side doesn't lock or unlock at all?

  • @frylockthefryman

Only when I manually unlock or lock the door. But the "Power" mechanism of it doesn't work like it should.

  • @MikeyGunit24

If the driver side locks and unlocks when you press the button then it can't be the switch. Could be that the power locks actuator is damaged, the power locks control unit could be damaged or the power locks actuator may not be getting power. I would start with taking off the door panel and testing the power wires for the power locks actuator.

  • WTF doesn't any of you people have a friend to hold the camera?

These crappy ass videos where you are tying to explain without explaining are a joke.

  • @tmr3513

If you have basic mechanical skills and know how to properly use tools you should be able to understand what to do. If you don't have those skills it may be best for you to hire a professional because you may damage your vehicle trying to perform this task. Also this video is just a basic guide, not a tutorial specific for every vehicle.

  • @frylockthefryman Hi bro! I have a question that You may be can help me out ...every time I load up or down the glass of my window (manual) makes a loud noise like a whistle ... do you think I should change the window regulator? or can be something else?

  • @bardaso

Could be that the glass is rubbing against the rubber window channel. You can try spraying silicone spray or apply silicone grease to the inside of the window tracks where the glass slides.

  • @tmr3513 "Doesn't" any of you? Really? Better correct your own mistakes before telling others of theirs.

  • question my 96 civic couoe passenger window does not go down but goes up. i have another regulator that i switch but does the same thing it goes up but does not go down... on my driver side the button switch does not go down or up but the passenger switch go up but does not go down what do you think is wrong...

  • @josemoses

Sounds like your driver side window switch and passenger window switches are bad.

There is a section in the Honda Civic manual that tells you how to test if the switches are bad by disconnecting the wire harnesses from the switches and

jumping the pins in the plugs with little wires.

You can also just connect known good switches and see if it works then.

  • @frylockthefryman yea i did that too i used my friend ek 98 coupe passenger and driver switch and put it on my 96 civic coupe and does nothing just the same thing just goes up but not down

  • @josemoses

If it's not the regulator and not the switches it must be the wiring.

Try disconnecting and reconnecting all the plugs for the passenger side window and if it still doesn't work after that you can get a test light and use it to test all the plugs to find which part of the wiring is bad.

  • @josemoses

did you manager to sort out the problem with your passenger power windows? im having the same problem, only my passenger side window goes down but not up, somtimes it works, usually not. I'd like to hear if you found a solution!!

  • @josemoses

my problem is also in a 96 coupe

  • Hey, Nice video. I had to replace my power window regulator. Got it from Doorman. Autozone, if you sign up, has factory manuals for the Honda Accord and helped me find the instructions on how to replace the window regulator. Your video helped fill in the blanks and I had my door finished in one hour. I like how you paused between sections (real time) It gave me time to process when you did this. I can tell you put a lot of work into the video. Again thanks.

  • @mo4eyes

Positive comments like yours can make up for 10 negative comments I get.

Thanks for taking the time to leave me feedback and I'm glad my video helped you.

  • This video really helped me a lot. thanks!

  • @erazogregorio

    You're welcome,thanks for watching!

  • I thought it was pretty good haha. One thing you can do though is edit out all your pauses (when your not saying anything) and imbetweens. Itll help shorten and be more appealing lol. Good job!

I gotta video on this for power windows on a civic

(to check it out just click on my user name)

  • @HondaHowTo1

I prefer the sections of my videos to be in real-time but I do that sometimes.

    Your video is pretty good.

  • You are obviously too stoned to make a fucking instructional video. Put down the weed and maybe, just maybe you won't run out of breath and speak so fucking monotone.

  • @ormand3000

    I've never even tried weed.

Just because I have on shorts and sandles doesn't mean I'm a pot head.

Also I speak pretty much the same in all my videos...in this one I was pretty tired I think though.

  • @ormand3000

    wow thats harsh

  • good job on the video

  • @paulsjunkcars

    Thanks

  • wat abt a 96 civic coupe my passenger window does not go down how do i change the regulator motor out

  • @josemoses

Same as in the video but it will be more difficult to reach the screws that attach the regulator to the glass.

You should probably tape the glass to the top of the door so it wont fall, remove the two bolts for the glass and then remove the bolts that connect the regulator to the door and then you should be able to pull the regulator out.

  • Awesome! Thanks for posting this. My regulator is broken and am going to try to repair it myself so I don't have to pay somebody $300. After watching your video it doesn't seem too bad.

  • @eagle1542

Yea it's really not difficult on most cars.I've worked on a couple older american cars and they were very difficult to remove the regulator but if you have a japanese or german car it should be pretty simple.

Thanks for the comment and good luck!

  • I really appreciate the hassle you went through to put this together. Many, MANY thanks!

  • @dutchpuppy2

You're welcome and I'm always glad to get comments like yours. Thanks for watching!

  • Cut your grass!

  • Hey, thanks for the vid. My windows won't stay up and the crank won't operate them at all. I read somewhere I should check to see if the window is off the track, or if some of the screws need to be tightened. How do u do this?

  • Is this dude stoned

  • I have the same car, but it's all power and even though I had to replace the broken glass on the driver's side door; I found your video to be very helpful in figuring out how to get the panel off and putting the glass back in. Thanks!

  • fuck you

  • hey bro can you tell me how you got the window crank off. i cant get it off worth crap!

  • Do you have a Honda?

If so then you should have a metal clip that holds it in.

Take a flat head screw driver and put it between the crank and the plastic washer on the opposite side of where you grab the crank to turn it normally.

Then feel around for the clip and push it forward so it snaps out.

  • Ty this video helped with my eg :)

  • You're welcome,thanks for the comment.

  • Thanks man, this was a big help!

  • You're welcome,glad to help.

  • This video should have been called How to:Replace a window regulator with one hand.

  • Well I needed two hands to remove the glass so I'm disqualified for that title haha.

  • I have a 2000 Ford Focus sedan. It took forever to remove the window regulator! A real pain. It's nice to see Honda made it easy to pull out.

  • nice vid dude! lots of help.

what yr is this in the vid? looks like a civic. i have an 03 civic coupe.

  • @drift03

Thanks and its a 93 sedan.

  • I'm glad i came acorss this video! thanks a lot for posting this nd man it must of been pain to record nd work @ the same time lol but i only wished u were working on a 93 honda accord! its pain in the ass! but i'm gonna use those techniques to pull out the regulator!

  • @teraynaam

Yea I had to stop the video so I could use two hands to get the glass out lol.

Glad you like the video and thanks for watching!

  • GREAT JOB ONLY WITH ONE HAND!

  • Thanks and I'm gonna try to get a tripod to help me out with that.

  • Wow great video man, good camera angles, this is going to make working on my car window so easy. Thanks!

  • You're welcome.glad to help!
