  • Glad I found this. I bought a small container of egg whites for the first time ever the other day (they were on sale and I'd been thinking about it for a long time). They didnt taste bad at all, but it seemed to be lacking in something, taste wise. Only time I ever ate a raw egg was after I saw Rocky as a kid. I'll stick with my yolks. Thanks.

  • Search for "Ernestine Shepherd" on YouTube. She drinks 3 glasses of egg whites daily. She is 74 and her skin looks better than most people I know in their 40s. Her body, teeth, hair, skin, mental clarity, focus, endurance, muscle tone, etc. are all amazing!

  • THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! my whole family agrees that it is a huge waste of nutrients to just trow out in the garbage.. it just made common sense to me even before hearing your facts. Yet I constantly see healthy recipes and fitness shows endorsing that you shouldn't use the egg yolk

    You eat eggs 3 or 4 times a week, but would it be safe to eat (whole, organic) eggs 7 times per week if they aren't bad for your cholesterol?

  • it depends on your weight and how much % of fat u need per day for me its about 6 yokes then no more but then i could eat egg whites so work out how much fat u need then there is some easy fat in egg yokes :) simple

  • The nutrician is in the yolk. People are afraid of the yold because of the cholestorol, but high cholestorol does not hurt you, its how your liver uses it that makes a difference. American diets are full of processed salt and processed sugar( white flour, enriched bread, pizza, soft drinks, baked goods). Two things which destroy the liver. At that point , your liver is working against you, and all your dr. is going to do , is put you on bp/cholestorol meds which will destroy your kidneys & livr.

  • cholesterol is the molecule parent for all our hormones, but it is homocysteine and C reactive proteins - 2 markers of inflamation that show us how close of an infarct we are , stroke, brain shortcut , cardiovascular desease anyway. Cause even if the cholesterol is low and these 2 markers show high, then we are in trouble. Naturally if the cholesterol is high and inflamation is low, we are ok :)

  • i'll stick with tuna for my protein then cuz it has no fats.... ive always learned that bad cholesterol is in egg yolk this is the only time ive heard that it's "good" cholesterol in the yolk so this vid just confused the fuck out of me.... plus i get enough vitamins from my veggies and fruit and other foods so i dont really need the yolk cuz it gives me fats that i dont need

  • Cal me thick but I am now confused about eggs. I uaually wisk 6 egg whites In to half pint of milk and leave in the fridge for the night, I drink this for my breakfast I also eat musli. I had believed I was adding protein to my fibre breakfast without having to eat fried or cooked meats What benefits am I really missing out on by not eating egg yolks?

  • the truth about eggs when trying to lose weight and still consume a high protein intake with eggs you consume 1 to 2 whole eggs with 4 egg whites, why you ask well lets look at he basic figs. around 182 calories with over 10g of fat but only 3g of saturated fats plus all the benefits of the whole egg. Now imagine 6 whole eggs, thats about 444 calories and over 30 g of fat but only round 10g of saturated fats its not had to work out. Or just eat 2 eggs a day and keep the doctor away...

  • Cholesterol does not cause heart disease, inflammation causes heart disease. Cholesterol heals vascular scarring caused by oxidation from free radicals. A high cholesterol level may be an indicator that your body has a high level of inflammation.

    As for eggs, get your eggs from local free range farms. They will have a better omega 6 to omega 3 ratio than compared to commericial eggs. Cooking can destroy some nutrition. Raw eggs from local free range farms have a very low chance of salmonella.

    Raw eggs are actually bad for you. Cooking the egg kills the salmonella bacteria, that bacteria can make you very very sick.

    Eat cooked eggs, stay away from raw eggs.

    About egg yolks, I dont disagree with Scooby1961 here, because Yuri explained exactly why they are not bad for us.

  • Awesome! Cholesterol is good for us. We need it to manufacture hormones like cortisol, progesterone, testosterone. 'Bad' cholesterol is made from sugar and refined carbs. Bad animal fats don't exist unless they're from animals raised incorrectly.

  • @FoodHoney Really? Not trying to be funny but I just find the animal fat part you said interesting! I didn't know that.

  • @potterylady1 Animal fat is great fat to eat. Animals raised on non-species appropriate diets and given antibiotics produce poor quality meat and consequently poor quality fat. If you're in the US grass fed meats are the best. In the UK organic is about as good as you can hope for unless you live close to a decent farm. I know Yuri promotes eating less animal products. But if you want to you should do your research and make sure you know what you're putting into your body.

  • I eat some yolks but not all. because of the sheer amount of eggs i eat in a day when im eating eggs is so much. simply because I dont buy organic atm and the fat soluble pesticides are stored within the yolks

  • Thank you for informing me on this! Everytime I eat hard boiled eggs it's almost become a habit to just take the yellow ball of yolk out. Looks like I know what to do now!
