You say that this guy has 2 switches for the headlights. Newsflash for you: He doesn't.
If you jerk the switch fast, then the headlights will desync and pop up in a different rhythm.
And just like NewRomantic4 said, that if your module box get's soaked in the rain, due to a crack or such, it will affect the mechanism too.
I doubt you have ever even owned or been riding in a Supra or 240SX.
