so a sub pixel doesn't show up as 1/3 of the size of a pixel? I have what looks to be a dead pixel, i compared it side by side to a pixel, and its like 1/4-1/5 of an actual pixel, but i cant get it off my screen with paper and windex, so is this like a nano pixel or something lol or just a spec of dust that i cant get off?
This ain't a DEAD subpixel...if it is dead, then it would show up as a dark spot against a white background, rather than a white spot on a dark background.
This is called a stucked (sub)pixel, and is much more fixable than an actual DEAD subpixel.
does this work for ipods? I have an ipod video and it has a dead pixel stuck on blue and its most noticable when the screen is dark like viewing a video b4 it actually starts or a dark picture
Awesome. I have this same monitor.. I have a dead or stuck pixel in the upper left corner of mine that is white. I tried using this method to revive it and I also tried using different programs and such but none of them worked. Any suggestions?
Hey, well yeah, I've been using it for about one month now and I think it was is quite a good choice! IMHO it provides quite a good image, has a nice contrast and looks beautiful. Well, just after I bought it I was very disappointed because it had one dead red pixel... but somehow I could revive it with the cloth.. It's quite strange, as the video shows. Just remember, it's Pixelclass 2, that means you can have up to 5 dead sub pixels :|
you can't do that on a gorilla glass.
