  • it says mac pro on it. Are you sure its not a Mac Pro with a PC monitor?

  • @poiiihy LOL! Yes, I am pretty sure

  • Kako da uzem u Safe Modu?

  • @Syko946 Kad podižeš sistem pritisni F8 i onda ukucaj "-x" bez navodnika.

  • Thanks for the answer :) I've tried with another version, iatkos 10.5.7 with no luck on my Laptop (Toshiba Satellite L505D-S5983) It gave me an error with some "ACPI" stuff, processor driver, or something like that :S I have no idea what is that, but i really want to try an OS X :( Any help??? And sorry for my bad english hehe, hope you understand me :D Thanks in advance :)

  • @D36614L Does this happen when you install the OS or when you are booting the DVD for the first time? This is a kernel issue, you need to install Voodoo kernel, if 9.7 does not work, try 9.5.

  • @clarkkov - This happens when the dvd boot for the first time, it is loading some stuff to install, all in the black screen, but then everything stops and show that "AHCI", "processor driver....", "Kernel panic" some-kind-of-error :s Can't even show the blue screen to install the OS..... Thanks in advance man :D

  • @D36614L Set your HDD controller in BIOS to AHCI or if it is AHCI, set it to native IDE (or similar). Try disabling USB controller just for the installation. If this fails, try with different distro i.e. Leohazard.

  • @clarkkov - Hi my friend :D Well, i've tried another distro, "iDeneb 1.5 10.5.7" on an old intel desktop PC (i give up with the laptop) and installs well :)works fine too. But there is a small issue, it seems that the Bootloader i chose (Chameleon 2) doesn´t works, because when i turn or reboot the PC directly boot on Windows :s So i don't know how to fix that problem :|

  • @D36614L Try reinstalling Chameleon, try different version. Reinstall from the DVD, uncheck everything else and only select the bootloader. If it's installed correctly, it should work, just make sure it's installed on the boot HDD, or boot from the HDD on which OSX is installed if you have two HDDs.

  • Hi, hope you can help me :D I have a doubt, my laptop specs are this: Toshiba Satellite L505D-S5983, AMD-ATI, AMD Athlon II Dual-Core Processor (M300), ATI Radeon 4100, 3GB DDR2. Can i install and run this O.S withouth problems??? Or what "distro" i can try?? Thanks for any help :)

  • @D36614L I'm sorry to say, but your graphics card is not supported. It may work in VESA (safe mode) without 3D acceleration and w/o resolution change support .

  • what hackingtoscjh or iatkos or other i need i have my pc

AMD athlon II x2 250 prozessor

    asus M4N78 Pro

  • @Killerkeks5666 This is a weird board (for hackintoshing), mostly due to non standard MB chipset. There are confirmed successful installs with iDeneb v1.6. Use Voodoo kernel, of course.

  • hay when i open osx86 tools i cant change the resolution it says something with error 127

PLZ HELP ME MY RESOLUTION IS BROKE (or something)!

    HELP PLZ

  • @0lympicy What graphics card do you have? You can't change the resolution in OSx86Tools, resolution should be changed in the preferences pane. OSx86Tools are meant for installing and manipulating with kexts and strings, apple.boot.plist etc. If you are using Kally, I recommend you switch to a newer distro.

  • my kalyway 10.5.2 says type -v (which i did) it says loading darwinx86 and it says loading mach kernal then it restarts but doesnt load mac os x SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Gutter651 You can PM me with your specs. From the info you provided, it seems that mach kernel that the Kally DVD is based on is not compatible with your CPU or your MB. I can recommend using iAtkos, iPC or iDeneb, Kally is old and supports less hardware.

  • I have just got this are you using it as your main os ???

  • @hamster7ff

    I'm using iAtkosv7, but I got 4 PCs and 2 are w7, 1 is iAtkos and 1 is Ubuntu.

  • how did u installed it ? i have the same system specs as you do , do i have to burn it to a dvd ? or mount it from my PC ?

  • @TinuxTutorials

You need to download .iso, burn it to DVD and boot it - almost like installing Ubuntu, but here you have to select patches and drivers because it's Apple. Look @ my channel, I have made a tut vid about this, and I would recommend iDeneb or iAtkos, Kally is good, but old, 9400GT will work only in safe mode with Kally.

  • dude can you find me a workin version for my system specs:

    Asus M2N-VM HDMI

    Amd Ahtlon 64 x2 4200+

    2.2Ghz

    2Gb Ram

  • @TinuxTutorials

As I said, you can try iDeneb, iAtkos or iPC, there is a high probability with all of them that they will work on your specs. I can recommend iAtkos, but there is no guarantee with OSx86 because it's, well, hacked OSX. Search thepiratebay for these distros, try to boot and then post your results and I can try to help.

  • This is all I found on Wikipedia about this error. It also occurs if you are trying to install os x in Virtual box or VMware (it is not possible to install os x on Virtual machines yet).

  • thanks alot for the help. but i cant seem to find the appleviaata.kext in ipc. oh yh and whats a "virtual machine" lol ??

  • Virtual machine is a virtual PC (hardware) created in your real PC. This way you can install another OS (Linux or XP in Vista and vice versah) inside your "real" OS. Try wikipedia, it has detailed info on this topic.

As for the .kext, you can extract it via Pacifier (but you have to have a working installation of OSX for this :/ . Its a method, go to your BIOS and set up your HDD controller like the method says. Try googling more info on insanelymac.

  • ohh ok ill try that. thanks again for all the help

  • i tried installing IPC but i get the waiting for root device error. my specs are: inspiron 531, amd athlon 64 x2 3800+, nvidia mcp61 chipset, 1 gb ram

  • I thought that I have mention that, sorry, its Excelstor 160GB SATA II, 8MB, 7200RPM

  • how you get it to work on ur amd do u have set of instructions plz

  • You have to download a Leopard distro that supports AMD cpus, Kaly 10.5.2 supports it, also you can download iPC 10.5.6 universal distro (it has better support for hardware). Then you have to have sse2 or 3 compatible AMD cpu - download cpu-Z to see your CPU specs.

There are instructions how to do lots of stuff regarding this subject, go to: INSANELYMAC (just type it into google) to get your questions answered...
