I forgot about this song. Seen them perform it in concert in 66. One of those songs much better live.  Gin House Blues is another that would fall into that category.

The only reason Eric Burdon wasn't HUGE in America was that he was short, homely and slightly unkempt. He didn't have that cutsie Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Herman's Hermits, Davey Jones look that was popular with the teens of that era. But he DID have something special - his singing was second to none.
