i hate to tell you this but if you go into the hills with just that little what ever you call it survival kit you will die. I can tell you where never in the woods surviving lolol. I did enjoy the laugh though And who ever is selling that thing you got as a survival kit, doesn't know anything if you don't believe me go out into the woods for a couple of days with it and tell me how you enjoyed it. That's if you make it back out.

I made my own little fishing kit once out of boredome, used a circular foam earplug condainer, (little bigger than what in this video) and used sllot of the same stuff in mine even the eyelits lol. I even managed to reuse the earplugs as little bobbers for fishing in still ponds and such. a tad sensitive but effective enough. still have it just in case whenever i go camping lol

I made one of these kits out of things i purchased and it cost more but its a great idea.The knife i use is a gerber curve,fox mini whistle,cheap girly dollar store keychain mirror that I put camo tape on and a 2 dollar pill bottle aluminum (dollar store)

The waterproof compartment in the whistle is to put a folded piece of waterproof paper containing emergency medical and contact info. That way if you are found unconscious the rescuers can find if you have any allergies or other medical conditions doctors need to be made aware of and contact your loved ones to inform them of your condition. For those posters who are questioning the condoms. Condoms have been used by militaries for holding water, and small item storage(things you don't want to get wet) before the second world war. It does work, and as pointed out, just takes a little pratice.

But I have used this kit and the kit's reasonable for the price. The light's pretty decent, as the magbar. Compass works but won't a lot of abuse, your better off with the liquid filled version. Saw works. Knife is mediocure. (Buy yourself a SAK) The whistle works. Best thing to do with he hollow compartment on the whistle is to put some cotton wool thats's been coated in petrolium jelly in the compartment. You could do worse.
