hi davie, just a wee update, tied a dozen, and was fishing lough erne on monday, caught 4 x brown trout, biggest just over 2 pounds, they really hammered the fly, whot a buzz, brilliant, happy wrappings, davey, antrim. ps they all went back alive.
Brilliant tying! Watched with amazement as one material after another was added! All those materials in the last 2 mm without the thread falling off the eye! I've seen you do it before with other patterns, but this ............!!!!!!!
I could recommend a few my newest one is by Patsy Deery called Irish Mayflies/ A fly-fishers guide, next Flies of Ireland by Peter O'Reilly and one of the best known is Irish Trout & Salmon Flies by E.J.Malone you will find all the info you could every want in these books on Irish flies...

Hi Davie
I would have to say that is a great looking fly and the colors are great .. Will have to tie a few up and see how the panfish are here like them.
What would you sub for the blue jay feathers?? It is hard here to find them.
Thanks For the Great Vids
