I am a Special Forces warrant officer who was stationed in Utah for over ten years. Having been raised in the deep south i was used to racism, however,Utah took it to a higher level.
I talked with Darin Smith via talk radio a few years back and told him i could not understand why and how he could embrace a cult that despised him for how God created him. If I had the resources I'd nuke Utah!
Saying Utah took racism to a higher level is very impressive. People have always had this tendency of being prejudiced towards others outside their own group or tribe...That's why it is dangerous to describe and tolerate discrimination in the law of a nation or dogma of a church. Compare Apartheid of South Africa and Nazism who went much further than in other countries because the law tolerated, justified and supported the hatred feelings of superiority of the so called "perfect" white race.
Has God or Jesus ever condemned or preached openly against any of his brotheren. No he has not. So if these are not the tools of Jesus, Then who are these tools of? Brother McCraney You are such a brillant man. you could easily make a living doing so many other things. Please, Please get in touch with the spirit of Chirst. There are many blessing in store for someone who is truely doing Gods will. Peace be with you
He does not make any money on this. I wonder what Jesus called the pharisees and other religious leaders of his day, did he not rebuke them?... Did Jesus say that anyone was going to eternal hell?
Being a black man who survived Utah for over 40 years I had grown so angry at Mormons for their nasty ,racist treatment of me and my black and brown skin friends. Mormons also had a very nasty opinion of Catholics. In Utah Catholics were treated almost as badly as Blacks were.
Darin Smith was a Black Mormon BYU prof. who was recently fired for trying to open up dialog about race. BYU is also a VERY racist school.I played football against BYU's team while they call blacks bad names.
Telling that to practice homosexuality is a sin.. like lying is a sin... (not that homosexuals are bad or anything). Slaves where common at those days...
just tell me where in the book of mormon, are any racist parts. AND any ways Cain or Abels bloodline did not live on. Seth was the only one related to Noah, and eveyone else was wiped out.
So........those crosses burnt infront yards were mormon crosses? And are you really claiming that racism has only been around for a few hundred years?
So christians never used the bible to justify racism, like the story of Kane and Able? Actually a lot of racism and sexism is in the bible. So how can you say that Mormon racism is different than regular Christian racism? You keep saying that the mormon church is a cult and racist and such, but you haven't told me how it differs at all from regular christianity except it has an extra book. Atleast Mormons didn't plant flaming crosses in people's front lawn.
The reality is that a great number of the people of the world are brown and black... In order to grow the church... and the money... it probably doesnt hurt to go into Africa, Central America, South America... India... may be just may be, it is self serving for the Mormons to all of a sudden in th 60's and 70's say it is ok to black, brown... certainly makes it easy to be an international force that way...
This lifting of tthe so-called "curse" came right at the time that more and more African Americans werre ascending into the middle class, AND the upper middle class. Black people were beginning to graduate from law schools and medical schools in records unseen in previous years.
Noe, Profit KKKimbal just COULD not allow them to be denied the privilege of sending 10% of their gross incomes to The Great White Temple in Salt Lake!!
Their SKIN may be black but their MONEY is still GREEN!!
"Now if any of you will deny the plurality of wives, and continue to do so, I promise that you will be damned." (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 3, p. 266).
Did you know that the mormon church is established in 27 African countries, and that there are hundreds of thousands of African Mormons and African Mormon Leaders? Does that sound racist?
And did you know that, in the 1800s, hundreds of mormons were driven from their homes in part b/c of their political positions against slavery?
Racism, seperation, has existed thru out history even in the Old Testament. There are numerous accounts of segregation in the O.T. I do not question it. it occurred. However things are different now, that is what is important now.

But, how could "the only true church" have such a bad racist history? True church? Lead by God? Racist God up until 1978?
