could you do this with video.because i really need to composite 3d into real video.

@lutenant3 theres some extra steps for that. If it's a moving shot you'll need to track the camera move , there are applications that are dedicated to just that purpose. Than the camera track data has to be imported into your 3D app onto the virtual camera , then this tutorial covers placing your 3d object and lighting it I guess. I think he does the whole compositing within c4d but you can render out different passes of your sequence and assemble them in program like after effects.

Hi I have advanced question: how do you do compositing with shadow and Depth of field? Whenever I turn on depth of field in effects it affects the background image as well. Please advise, is there any way to affect only the 3D object and its shadow in C4D?
