I mainly watched this video to see what he was doing on the tapping chorus section. On a tab from the internet, they have it as some crazy stretch from the 2nd fret to the 7th fret on the E string, which I knew couldn't be right. That's a huge stretch, even for Paul's larger then average hands...
Actually, I can do that without any problem, and I don't have huge hands, they're actually quite small. :( But yeah, it's either that or switching strings. :)
I don't think Joe's had his day, but he is more of a song writer than a performer.
I enjoy watching Vai and PG on stage because they out perform most. Joe's instrumental recordings are a little more interesting to listen to than others though.
PG should perform more of his vocal stuff though (hope he does in November). Hes a great singer and it's something Joe and Vai tried and failed at....Fantastic gig though!
I was sitting right behind you dude, I wondered what your recording would sound like, sounds ace, and just for the record, P.G could blow satch away! joe has had his day I fear, and it was a case of same old same old last tuesday,I actually got a bit bored and went downstairs for a pint !!
i was there, and i must say i was quite disappointed by the audience while paul gilbert was playing. everyone was sitting down and it made his performance seem too much like a warm up for satriani
I definately agree there. I was only there to see gilbert really, he's a lot more entertaining. Satriani may be technically better but he actually performs. Satriani had a some good songs i liked though not saying he was a complete bore.
pg forever!

lol Yeah he does it in the 2nd string instead.
There is a DVD with tabs that Paul Himself made. You can buy it cheap, but you wont find it in 4shared lol. ( You know what I mean )

Great video!!! ... I remember seeing Paul Gilbert back when he was with Mr. Big opening concerts for Rush.

I wish I could have seen that! That would have been awesome! I've seen Gilbert live at G3 and Rush Live, but the both would be sick!
