Many foundations have harmful chemicals in them and thus make your skin blotchy and cause dryness, acne, etc. Just as you stated one may "poison" their scalp you can also "poison" your skin. W/ that being said, to use your words you may can "wipe" away makeup but you can't wipe away the effects. BTW....I am real.

@bigvinamac Considering I went natural before... because all my hair had fallen OUT of my head from PERM and it has taken me years to get it now half way my back.... I think I made the right choice. I do use makeup and it has actually cleared up my acne. The chemicals in acne medication are WORSE than the chemicals in makeup. You can read the ingredients on makeup. Most are made of minerals now if you're purchasing decent stuff anyways. Whether my results are typical or not, this works for me.

I have encountered women who wore their hair in it's natural state&would degrade women who apply relaxers to their hair. For example one of my own friends would say you need to "free yourself from the chemical terrorist." Yet, she had a face full of make up on, eats pork,&drinks diet soda. One can't claim to be freeing oneself from chemicals yet u absorb them other ways.

Personally, I decided to stay natural because it finally dawned on me that a lot of white people believe women of color naturally and inherently hate their hair. I would have been one of those natural hair girls you hate so much (at the age of 14 lol), PREACHING to everyone about the evils of the perm. To some of us, self-hate is the assumed reason. It's not always a "judgment" but a desire to see self-acceptance and self-love, as we understand it, among our sisters.
OMG! I hope you don't mind others borrowing the "Build-a-Bear Bitch" line lmao! I have the same problem with letting people throw me off and running for coffee or something. I need to find a substitute. We're not always being stuck up, but some feel a sense of support and unity I guess when we see other natural sisters, considering how "natural" hair is often unaccepted. For some people, natural hair is a statement. We forget it's not the same statement for everyone.

@mizzluscious08 I think you were referring to me w/ your comment. I don't know if you use make up but from your comment it appears that you don't. Foundation absorbs into your skin. Many foundations have harmful chemicals in them and thus make your skin blotchy and cause dryness, acne, etc. Just as you stated one may "poison" their scalp you can also "poison" your skin. W/ that being said, to use your words you may can "wipe" away makeup but you can't wipe away the effects. BTW....I am real.

@bigvinamac Considering I went natural before... because all my hair had fallen OUT of my head from PERM and it has taken me years to get it now half way my back.... I think I made the right choice. I do use makeup and it has actually cleared up my acne. The chemicals in acne medication are WORSE than the chemicals in makeup. You can read the ingredients on makeup. Most are made of minerals now if you're purchasing decent stuff anyways. Whether my results are typical or not, this works for me.

Everything that I have always stated to natural head girls you said in this video. I always said that I was sick and tired of Naural Hair women being condescending to those of us who choose to go relaxed (you go relaxed and not go natural b/c natural is what we are born with) yet you have a face full of MAC makeup on. I have encountered women who wore their hair in it's natural state&would degrade women who apply relaxers to their hair. For example one of my own friends would say you need to "free yourself from the chemical terrorist." Yet, she had a face full of make up on, eats pork,&drinks diet soda. One can't claim to be freeing oneself from chemicals yet u absorb them other ways.

Personally, I decided to stay natural because it finally dawned on me that a lot of white people believe women of color naturally and inherently hate their hair. I would have been one of those natural hair girls you hate so much (at the age of 14 lol), PREACHING to everyone about the evils of the perm. To some of us, self-hate is the assumed reason. It's not always a "judgment" but a desire to see self-acceptance and self-love, as we understand it, among our sisters.
