Did any buddy else notice that they used there speed breaks while lowering the planes altitude it's weird the speed break should be used only after landing.
@RANDOMZDUKE Actually you're partly wrong. Speed breaks are used to simply slow down the aircraft either in mid air where it is most effective and of course while the aircraft is rolling down the runway after landing. The Air breaks also act as an aileron when pilots bank at high angles.
Why does the aircraft begin to make a whining noise at 7:49? I have watched other videos and the 777 seems to do this during every single landing flare. The noise is similar to when the flaps are being retracted, even though they aren't.
The best airline I flew on so far. Keep it up guys. The last time I flew on Emirates, it was back in 2008. Mauritius - Dubai - Dubai - Jeddah and Jeddah - Dubai - Dubai - Mauritius. Went for Hajj. Don't have much time to travel lately as am really busy. Am a journalist
Hi. What's the main purpose of flaps? I'm a pretty nervous flyer but the more I know about planes and how they work then the less nervous I feel. Thanks.
is to increase lift which allows to land or takeoff at slower speeds .While a portion of the flaps provide lift, extending them further adds drag which then allows the jet engines to maintain a higher power setting
@BlackParis86 Actually the lifted flap is also called the "air brakes", which allows the plane to decrease speed during final approach. Their are flaps which make the plane bend to the right or to the left, which work with the rudder gear during change of direction. And flaps which are deployed or lowered during takeoff and landing. I love airplanes! The 777-300 is my favourite one. Those RR engines are so powerful! Don't be scared of airplanes. Enjoy your trips.
flying makes you wonder what is outside of our world in the universe. when the airplane comes back down you think to urself god this is a small world in a huge universe
Emirates is regarded as one of the best airline companies . Hence they've got to hav the service inch perfect to sustain their growing image . Eco Class Service was very nice , the cabin crews are very polite and helpful every time.
Great video man :)
