When I worked at the Internet Help Desk, this guy called in all freaked out b/c he couldn't turn off his mom's Dell computer.

He goes, "I pulled the plug and it's still on! Tell me how to turn this off, I don't want a fire in my house."

I thought. You're kidding. The battery inside the computer isn't going to get hot enough to start a fire on plastic.

I'm a former firefighter. We've never responded to a call for a 'Dell computer on fire.'
