  • This song is about the beautiful flower Pikake (Jasmine) made into a beautiful lei.

All of Keali'i's CD's contain lyrics in Hawai'ian and English. For lyrics to many songs go to huapala.com and enter the name of the song.

  • Yet another great some from Mr. Greatness himself, Keali'i Reichel.Mr. Reichel, if you're out there, thank you for all of the incredible music you made for us to listen to. It is so good for the soul.

  • whats wit da y's? theres no y's in Hawaiian haha. are they supposed to be okinas?

  • @wassupju When using Hawaiian Unicode Keyboard, alt + a vowel will make a kahako. so when using alt y, the computer is thinking the y is a vowel and needs a kahako.

  • I think the y is to an apostrophe

  • Love this song, reminds me of living back home on Kauai.

  • @Padds123, r u even hawaiian? jus wondering bcuz there iz no "y" in da spelling & u missing sum words...

  • @808Hi5ive i think the "y" is supposed to be okina, but there might some encryption problem when padds wrote and posted the lyrics. sort of a lost in translation deal.

  • @louiecollado so it is. a greatful song just for the soul

  • @louiecollado Glorious garland of pïkake; strongly stirring a deep urge within only you can satisfy. My desire, is to be adorned by you in your loving embrace. Your fragrance is borne, infusing my very being. Welling up my desire, to forever take in you soft, cool, and heady aroma that I so desire. Let my desire be known, this yearning in me. A deep urge within only you can satisfy. My desire is to be adorned by you in your loving embrace
  • @louiecollado I loved this song but it reminds me of my departure from honolulu going back to canada ..this is the song background inside the airport bwaaaaaaa! I missed everything....

  • love this song

  • ok tagged as per your suggestion, thanks ;)

  • u should put a tag for hanohano kalei pikake.

  • my hula class is dancing this song(:

  • I like the Ke'a'li'i originals and traditional Hawaiian tunes he does, as well as his adaptation of "Nada Sou Sou" which is titled "Ka Nohona Pili Kai."

Even when he has done tunes by Sting, Elton John, etc., he does them better, more musically, with better vocals.

I am glad that we/I have such wonderful music to hear and enjoy as that which Ke'a'li'i Reichel and his musicians/friends produce!

  • @WilliamHW You mentioned he's done songs by Sting, Elton John and others. What exact songs by others has he done? I'm aware of his cover of Styx's "Come Sail Away", but not of any others.

  • JasonL77 asked "WilliamHW " ... What exact songs by others has he done? I'm aware of his cover of Styx's "Come Sail Away" ... ."

    Jason,

Thank you for your question. I apologize for the week's delay in responding to your request.

Ke'a'li'i reichel has covered Elton John's "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" from Disney's "Lion King, Sting's "Fields of Gold," Ko Nohono Pili Kai - an interpretation in Hawaiian based on a song from Japan, Nada Sou Sou, by Begin). This is a short list.

  • I love this song! Reminds me of my Grandma! :-)
