  • Don't think it's Wicked Lester... has a KISS groove

  • This is definitely from the Wicked Lester days. Anyone who has a copy or ever heard the Lester album would know that right away.

  • This is actually a Wicked Lester demo, not a KISS demo.

  • The Metal Den's official site will be posting an article this week about the full story behind "Mistake". Thanks for checking it out!!

  • Thanks, I've never heard this KISS demo before And I've got a Hell of a lot of KISS Demo's.

  • Now, THIS is the sort of song Peter was born to sing...like Paul figured, Peter is a Rod Stewart "Maggie May" type of singer....great tune!

  • The best!!! KISS....

  • Would have rather had this on the first record over the "Kissin' Time" cover. Like an early "Hard Luck Woman".

  • would've fit perfectly on creatures of the night...

  • @dildo78 WHAT??

  • @MIssStrutter just kidding! :)

  • Never heard this one, sounds like Wicked Lester era.

  • listen to kiss do country. not on any album tho ?

  • OMG! why didn't they put this on an album??? KISS albums never ran 40 min anyway, what would it have hurt to throw it on at the end or whatever?

  • I like the slide style playing. Too bad it never passed muster for an album inclusion.

  • I like it

  • 1972 or 73. Wicked Lester days.

@365Avalon.. yes, not the best, but let's see what you recorded when you were 19 yrs old?!?!

  • cant believe ACE! would be caught dead with this crap! probably the suck ass! ezrin destroyer! KISS! lost their balls! in 76!

  • I'm sure this must be after 1976.

  • Terrible. Some corpses should be left to rot.

  • it's sad they probably didn't include it cuz it didn't go along with the rest of the album... but this would have added some great depth to the KISS experience. well, this may not actually be quite good enough for the cut... but it would have been nice if they'd come out with a song like this.

  • maybe a reworked Bullfrog Bheer track

  • Kiss-country.

  • holy shit this is strains far from kiss signature sound this should be realesed i wonder who is doin the slide

  • @MrCraigary123 I would think Gene, but just a guess. Since he can play pretty much any instrument, he's very versatile. Way more than alot of people know.

  • Damn ... This is good .. Cool tune - Kiss get this one released.

  • A lot better than forever.

  • @Warchief01

    Nah

  • @Warchief01 Forever is GREAT and probably the best ever video they ever did in the 80's.

  • kinda has a wicked lester feel to it.

  • @strutter0812 Yes it does. Thought that's who it was at first.

  • I love Kiss but I can see why they never released this. It would have been a mistake! It still is pretty cool to hear though. I have never heard this demo.

  • love it

  • damn this must be really rare

  • Different song from KISS.

  • Wow!

  • I like the western feel, great song.

  • it a good track. it catchy tune but to country western sound

  • I'm hearing "Shambala" in this tune. I like "Smoke" much better! GREAT stuff!

  • Wow! Tjis is really cool!!!!!

  • The best song Kiss never released. PERIOD. This is just the best Kiss swagger loose style rock song ever.

  • @MrZerosRememberWhen

Yes, there are stories that these demos are from 1975 but I don`t believe also that the whole Kiss are playing in this song, hard to say who is playing the lead and slide, not Ace that is almost sure.

  • Wow, great find, man. You're featured on Ultimate-Guitar for it!!
