jeez...what a fuckin talent...i became your big fan...you're really unbelievable...your videos from castlevania SOTN are definitly awesome...you're a great musician man...God bless your talent.
I never thought this was possible! You made my day watching this! :D More people must arrange Castlevania Music this way! Excelent job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, i have to say that this is the first piano interpretation i've seen of this song... in my opinion, this is my favorite song from castlevania CoD, and when i heard this the first time, i wanted always to play it, now, i must say that your interpretation is awesome! and you too have very good skills playing piano. Thanks for the sheets and also for the video. (i am not very good at english, sorry for the mistakes).
Wonderful arrangement, but it's a shame this isn't played on actual pianos - this piece really can't afford to be bogged down by the 'dampness' of the synths. It is the pulse and exactness (especially in the piano parts and the rhythm section in the OST track) of the rhythm that makes this piece tick, above all. Undoubtedly, Yamane probably consulted the pedal, especially with the staccato chord progressions in the piano, but even then, that's because her piano synth was very percussive.
@TheWanderingNight hi, i think i know what you mean. and i dare say that this piece does in fact work on digital pianos, and if you say the synths are damped, then the reason for that will most probably be that i was the one who had the percussive beat in the left hand and i didn't manage to differentiate every single note properly. the end result is still quite decent nevertheless, i'd say. but yeah, the piano synth in the original has a special to it. looking forward to your arrangements :)
@MilicanLakitu hey no problem, and thank you. you are the only one to have a recording of the chair room waltz, and i really appreciate that ;) it's definitely underplayed.
@Kwachii Well it might be possible to play most parts alone, but it would lack some parts and there would be lesser details. It's worth a try though :)
@xxVinni15xx Hello, thank you, and yeah, the DS soundtracks are really good from what I know. Haven't listened to too much Order of Ecclesia yet, but if you are looking for An Empy Tome, check out RigorMortis999's recording of it. /watch?v=BfWzq56K4Hg
Nice one! I don't really know anything about castlevania (except 2 and 4) so I don't usually bother listen to your Castlevania stuff. This was a fun listen :)
About that stereo discussion going on, I don't suggest doing it. Stereo usually sounds bad to me, any "real" sound you will hear from both ears with just a little difference between both - but you might want to experiment and find out something good!
@RobinLSL Stereo IS always heard by both ears with minor differences - thanks to room reflections and the like, you can never stop one speaker's sound from bleeding into the other. What you're thinking of, where each ear hears it's own sounds, is actually called "binaural" sound. It's only possible with headphones and is used for spatial effects, such as encoding surround sound in only two channels.
@RigorMortis999 Oh. I was thinking headphones. Yeah of course, it's completely different with speakers, I can't believe I didn't think of that. Stereo with speakers is fine since, as you said, both ears will hear both speakers and it will sound fine.
Never thought of that difference between headphones and speakers...
@RobinLSL Hey, you're missing out on great games and great music, at least play Symphony of the Night sometime :) As for the stereo, I tried out DiscoInTheNunnery's and Mark's suggestions, and it really does make a huge difference, I was very surprised and wouldn't have thought so myself.
Nice job as usual! Just a trick I learned, If you set the balance of the piano on the right so it only plays through the right speaker, and set the balance of the piano on the left so it only plays through the left speaker, it sounds so much better!
@DiscoInTheNunnery Hello, that's a trick I haven't thought about - wouldn't it sound strange when you listen to it with headphones? Gotta try it out though, thanks for the suggestion.
@Verdegrand It's not a bad idea. If I were to do something along those lines I'd do more of a 50% L/R pan instead of 100% L/R for headphones like you said, and also to avoid making it mono all over again :P
@RigorMortis999 Hm that sounds like a plan, I never even considered that just mixing two stereo tracks would kind of eliminate the stereo effect. I'll try it out and let you know how it went.
I knew you would perform my favorite castlevania theme someday! Thanks a lot verdegrand that was a godly perfomance!Good job to both you and rigomortis999 and i cant stress how grateful iam that you played this theme. Thanks and keep em coming:D!

any chances of playing a song from Order of Ecclesia?
"An Empty Tome" would be a nice choice :)

And if that stereo thing sounds good (headphones or speakers?) then cool ;)
