• great advice thank you , I do this but I use Liz Earle Spitz spray and it work amazing on the skin ) x

  • wtf is the point of this if you can't see your face, lmao. stupid

  • Youtube has so many pages its crazy! Thought I would say hey after viewing your page.

  • Cant wait to try it! Thanx! Recently bought RAW mineral foundation cuz its supposed to be great for your skin but i didnt like the finish. Thanx again!

  • your videos are annoying cuz u cant see ur face

  • y donnt u showw ur face? ur oviously beautiful.

  • After spraying their brush I do not recommend anyone uses foundation directly from the container. Use either the lid or a mixing bowl. If you get water inside the jar of mineral foundation it can ruin it.

  • It's bugging me that I'm not seeing your whole face in this video

  • What the heck? We can't even see your face.

  • what is wrong with the video? we can't see your whole face???

  • WHO CARESSS if you don't show your face?! I can sit here and be content with just watching you talk cus you have a pretty mouth xD

Anyway, thanks for this video. I still have some BM left over and will try this :)

  • What a fantastic idea thank you.

  • This really does work! I use Evian face spray b/c I have an oily complexion. Don't even really need to touch-up unless it's a long day. Bare Escentuals is the best makeup foundation that I have EVER tried.

  • Can you use lotion?

  • awesome tip I'm gonna try this out ^_^

  • Thanks for this. I have a tip that works for me and is quick too. Apply your mineral powder with a velour sponge (less messy than a brush) and then mist your face by tilting your face upwards and spraying your rosewater/gentle toner ,whatever (I use Liz Earle's toner) about 15 inches from your face (to get a good even and light coverage) . It should dry in 3 seconds and will look great. :)

  • Thats what she said....

  • thanks so much! i just bought the BM mineral foundation and veil and it doesnt give me enough coverage. i have the fix + and ill try this :)

  • lovely voice

  • It's exceedingly difficult to watch a makeup video review/tutorial without seeing your face and makeup. If you want to preserve your anonymity, perhaps making videos isn't the best option.

  • do you still put on a primer?

  • Ooo I'm going to try this

  • so it doesn't get dry or cakey? can you then reapply throughout the day, or do you not need to?

  • omg ppl the only reason y she doesnt show her face is bc she is a student and she doesnt want any of u guys going to her house(stalkers) let her be gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111

    xoxo bubbly ,

P.S good vid im going to try it with my everyyday minerals and macs fix +

  • show youre faaaaace! show your beauty!! :)

  • It works for me, and I find it great ^-^

  • I agree, WHY DON'T YOU EVER SHOW YOUR FACE?!?!!?

  • I have used rosewater and glycerin as a moisturizer for a long time. Everything else breaks me out. I spritzed it on my brush and applied my mineral foundation, and it looks great. Nice and smooth. Btw, a 4oz. bottle of rosewater and glycerin is only $4, and it smells great as well.

  • I was about to say that! My friend went out last night and bought the Evian spritzer... I told her she could have made it her self for 5 bucks.

  • the camera is not set properly in a way that we can see what you are doing or your face. Very hard for us. But anyway thanks for the video and Happy New Year

  • why dont u ever show your face?

  • Oh my goodness! It actually works soo well! I have Collection 2000 Essential Minerals and it looks amazing put on with water. My skin feels cooler as well. Gives a really nice, natural finish and you know it isn't clogging your pores! Thanks!

  • Hi, do you spray the brush everytime that you load the brush with more mineral makeup? Also, if you are using mineral makeup as a concealer would you wet the concealer brush and apply it wet as well? Also, if you are applying the concealer wet would this be before or after the foundation? Thanks. :-)

  • I'm just wondering ... if I'm using a powder concealer (i.e. everyday minerals), would I still apply it before the wet foundation goes on top? I'm just worried that the liquid foundation might sort of rub off the powder concealer as I'm buffing =P

    - Thanks in advance!

  • Why wont you show your face?

  • seriously!

  • can you apply loose powder wet?

  • What about mixing it with a moisterizer??

  • hey.love the idea i have acne toond i was thinking of wet foundation too.!so thanks but so u put the wet mineral foundation the mineral vale buht i put bronzer and blush do i just put that over it?

  • What lip product are you wearing in this video? It is THE perfect nude in my mind!

  • umm if u did this over and over with the brush that brush will end up have alot of bacteria so whats the best way to clean it?

  • buy a brush cleanser of ur choice! I recommend MAC's of course, it costs $10 to $11.

  • @kelsey24soccer15 Shampoo

  • Hey.. Im not sure wether you have done a vid on this but ive only just sunbscribed yo you :) but do you have eny good foundations that you could recomend? that would help alot..but enywayy i think your vids are really helpfull..thank youu xx

  • why doesnt she show her face?

and it would be good if you actually showed us how to put it on ~otherwise it was very helpful (:

    i will try that (:

  • Watch her "Introducing myself" vid.

  • I tried this today and it worked exceptionally well. Thank you so much!

  • I tried your processs and i am amazed a the results! my face looks so smooth and flawless with a minimal amount of product and i feel good because i am applying minerals to my skin. Thank you very much for this video!:)

  • glad to help :D

  • yeah the mac foundations ruined my skin....=-(

  • could you please do a video on how you clean your brushes?

  • pursebuzz has a video on how to clean your brushes

  • I've tried your idea of making the minerals wet by spritzing the brush with water + mineral powder... It works.. I found that it felt lightweight when dry and it goes from wet to dry.. which is great!! Thanks..

  • what color of BM foundation are you using ?

  • it wud be cool if you actually showed us ur face and put it on!!!!

  • she's already gone over that.

  • so wait, why doesn't she show her face?!

  • she has a video "introducing myself" that explains it.

  • What looks more natural, minerals wet like that or just the regular powder? I'm mostly concerned about not looking like I'm wearing make makeup.. Thanks! Great vids BTW

  • probably the powder alone since it won't make your face look AS smooth as if you applied it with the wet method. but both methods are much much more natural than liquid or creme foundations.

  • Which primer lasts longer for you prime time or smashbox?

  • thanks..i was wondering how you get your teeth so pretty :)

  • great alternative! I guess so long as it's mineral powder+liquid and you mix it up, it doesn't mater the order :). Great it turned out well!

  • do u ever show your face?

  • Where'd you get that spray bottle?

  • Have you tried any other mineral foundation other than Milani? I use Bare Escentuls and need to buy some, but right now the price is just not in my budget. Were you satisfied with Milani does it have any of the luminesence that BE has? ;D

  • Yep, I've tried BE and Everyday Minerals. I recommend them both, but Everyday Minerals is a MUCH better deal, especially if you get one of their kits and wait for one of their weekly specials to get a discount/free stuff!! check it out: everydayminerals . com

You can even get a free kit to find your shade (they have a lot to choose from). just pay shipping. I've been using the Milani more than I thought I would actually. the coverage is good and is semi-matte to me.

  • Thanks for replying. I will have to try the Fix+plus though. Maybe it will give a little more life to my makeup on really warm days when I'm oiler than usual. I really like your videos. Know they take alot of time and you sound like you have a busy schedule with school etc. ;D

  • Hi, love your videos. You are very sweet. I have a question, would you recommend applying the mineral veil with a wet brush as well or just the mineral makeup? Thanks.

  • Thanks! :D I love making them!

I would not recommend applying mineral veil wet. Just do that with your makeup! The mineral veil should be applied dry so it can "set" your wet makeup and help absorb any oils throughout the day.

  • this also helps...

when i was working as a customer service rep for sheer cover i learned that you can use any old moisturizer, preferably a facial cream with a little bit of the mineral foundation and that gives you a tinted moisturizer, or a moisturizing foundation. but beware you have to use just a little bit or you will end up with too much and then it would be a waste.

    cheers!

  • a great tip, I have yet to try combining it with a moisturizer :).

  • Thanks tip :D Btw, I love your teeth. LOL, weird comment. o.O

  • haha I get a lot of teeth comments i guess since that's all you guys get to see of me ;). I use Crest Whitestrips!

  • Are all of your videos cut off like this one?...who are you hiding from?

  • hi, just one quick question. If I'm using mineral concealer before buffing the powder foundation (which is wet) to my face, will it make the concealer cakey or disappear?

  • Hi, can you use Aquafina Advanced Hydration Rx- Balance & Clarity Toner? coz i watched a video saying the ingredients is very close to MAC Fix+. i wasnt sure coz it's a toner although it's Alcohol Free

  • That sounds like a good substitute! The toner I use is glyerin based and does seem similar to MAC Fix+. Since you use toner before applying moisturizer, I don't see why using it for the wet foundation method would be bad. I think it should work well :).

  • that makes sense :) thank you,

btw what is your toner, if i may know..

cant wait for your next review!!! i am also trying EDM atm hehehe

  • I am using Nivea Moisturizing Toner which I LOVE! I might move on to whatever MAC has available to check it out :)

I am pretty satisfied with EDM! The value is a major selling point for me!

  • i got my 187 *dance* it applies wet mineral powder foundation so nicely and it's soooo soft...hurraahhhhhh

  • woo hoo! i am seriously in love with that brush :). I'm glad to hear the wet method worked out for you!

  • thanks this helped so much!

  • glad it worked out for you :)

  • well it DID work but what i meant is that i guess i was just too used to the coverage of sff so this method didn't cut it for me. i'm sure it would be great though if i had less scars or if i had mac's concealer. you know the concealer in a pot, how is that? one of my friends used it and it looked cakey on her so i'm scared it'll happen to me =/

  • I absolutely love the concealer and do not find it cakey at all. The keys to good concealing are to moisturize blemish areas thoroughly and to use the smallest amount of concealer you need to cover it up! this should prevent caking. this cream concealer is not the best for under eyes since it is so thick. use a liquid one for this purpose. the concealer gets a 3.9 rating on makeupalley . com, but I'm sure u can find better ones on there, check it out!

  • i tried this today with my BE & fix+ & it just didn't work for me =( oh well. have u tried clinique's superfit foundation? i used it back in high school & i stopped because i got caught up with all the hype for mac. but it did do a pretty good job. i think i'll try this out again. it had a nice natural matte finish. it has good staying powder cuz back in high school i wouldnt set w/ powder so imagine it w/ powder :) just letting u know in case u get sick of ur EM :)

  • aww that's too bad. you are the first one to report that it didn't work! i am ery surprised. I have not tried any Clinique foundations except for the super double pressed powder makeup (or something like that) which I wore for years! it also had a matte finish. I would definitely go back to it if I wanted a foundation+powder in one :)

  • I have regular Fix+ and thank you! I just received my EM sample kit. This way the finish is a lot smoother~ I really like it. I already found my color, and I have everything I want in my shopping cart. I just need to decide between semi-matte and matte, which will take a couple days to try out. Thanks dustbunnies!

  • i'm so glad you found the combination of Fix+ and EM to work out so well! I had to send away for a couple EM kits before I placed my big order..you got lucky when finding your shade ;).

I ordered a couple large jars of the same shade in BOTH semi- and matte so I can either mix them or pick one or the other depending on my mood :)

  • I'm glad too, lol. I was a bit surprised how well it covered, because I recently broke out badly ): (stupid ProActiv..!!)

Haha, I was actually thinking about mixing semi-matte and matte! I will try that with some of my samples : - )

I love your reviews and I'm so jealous of your face shape! (or from what I can tell at least (: )

  • That doesnt ruin the brush????

  • brushes can be washed by immersing the bristles in water, so general water does not mess them up. but I don't know whether putting charged water or fix+ on them would do to the bristles if you leave that stuff on there. I can't imagine the minerals and extracts in there would do too much though. especially if you wash them from time to time.

  • You said that you sometimes break out, do you have scars? After a period of time, my scars are more visible after having my foundation on. ): Does that happen to you? Your skin looks flawless! I doubt you have any scars lol. All your talk about the charged water in the other video makes me want to get one, but I just bought a Fix+! I'll be sure to buy the charged one after I use it all up. (:

  • I do have scars in a few places, you probably can't seem them since the resolution in the videos is not so great :)..and you don't have closeups! but yeah, I do get what you do when the scars or dark spots start to show thru my foundation as the day wears on..this can be solved by using an opaque concealer and a primer underneath it all to make stuff stick!!

  • and I'l be buying a Fix+ after my charged water is done with :)

  • heyY...does the baremineral comes with a brush?..or u jaz buy it separetly?..can i buy the baremineral in drugstores?..like CVS?...hehe....

  • BE does not come with a brush..must be gotten separately! this gives you freedom in choosing just the right brush for yourself :)

Bare Minerals, as far as I know, is not in drugstores like CVS, and can be found at sephora stores, sephora . com, bareescentuals . com

  • LOVE this way of applying my Everyday Minerals.

I use the aquafine hydrating face spray and it looks like a liquid foundation BUT doesn't clog my pours!

  • cool! I'm glad to hear that the aquafina (right?) face spray works too! it's a great combo :) thanks for commenting!

  • I think this is a great tip. I found that liquid foundation does tend to clog my pores.

I currently use a mineralized foundation. Much less problems with breakouts. I do prefer a medium coverage liquid foundation application. I do not like that powdery look! So I will definitely try the mineralized foundation with the fix+ I just ordered online. I also just recently tried MACS tinted moisterizer today. I could not tell that I had foundation on. I was amazed .*

  • I think this foundation application technique has definitely answered all my prayers..to be still mineral but still look liquid and flawless..

Do let me know how things turn out! esp in comparison with the MAC tinted moisturizer since it seems you like that as well!

  • you have gorgeous lips. lol

  • thank you so much :)

  • UR SOOOOO PRITTTTY

  • thank you so much! and you haven't even seen the rest of my face ;)

  • i just wanted to let you know that i tried this today with water~ it was AMAZING! i LOVE it thank you soo much for this awesome tip! i use msf satinfinsih foundation too only during the winter but during the summer i would use mineral foundation~ i too would breakout just little with msf foundation.. actually most mac foundation breaks me out but i just loved how the msf would have an awesome finish.. but now thanks to you this is a great alternative! THANKS again and keep it coming~

  • yay spoon! it's cool how we intersect on opinions on foundations ;). I definitely think this would come in handy in the summer!

  • This is a great idea! I'm going to try this tomorrow with water. I've been meaning to get Fix+ for a long time now but I just haven't had the time. When I do, I can't wait to do this with Fix+. Thanks for the idea!

  • same here! I'd like to see how it is different than when with charged water. i can't imagine them being that different :). hope you end up liking this method!

  • This is an awesome idea! I've been using Smashbox Cooling Tint, MAC liquid concealer, and the MAC studio fix pressed powder foundation- I've found that I tend to break out a LOT more when I use the Smashbox tint than when I just used the other two. I ordered that free kit from EM and I'm going to MAC tomorrow for some Fix+ to try this out! I'm an ABC with combo skin also, so I'm very interested in the hauls/deals you've found! Thanks so much for doing these videos! (sorry such a long comment!)

  • I was so sad myself when I found that my liquid foundation was causing me to break out more too :( I'm glad I could offer you another option to turn to to save your skin :)! I love long comments ;)

  • Thanks for the great tip! :]

someone also mentioned about mixing mineral makeup with your moisturizer as well to get a "tinted" moisturizer but i'm going to try this one as well!

    thanks again!

  • I still have yet to try the tinted moisturizer idea. Have you found that it gives you as much coverage? Or is it for more like the days where you don't want something fast and ultra natural?

  • It does cover imperfections better than just the foundation, but at the same time it tends to highlight acne for some reason? I used to use the concealer first, but then the tint would just rub it off or smear it away from what I wanted to cover up (maybe I was doing it wrong?) So once I switched it up, I always felt like the areas where I had acne had makeup caked on. Oh! I wanted to ask what kind of concealer you use with this process? still the MAC one?

  • I still do use the MAC studio finish concealer. It sounds like you have no choice but to apply your concealer after your tinted moisturzer seeing that it rubs off.. try to put more moisturizer on your troubled spots first to get rid of dry patches and then RIGHT away put on a little amt of concealer and build build! Then set everything. Hope that works a little better? Otherwise I've been doing my concealer first b4 foundation recently.. Thanks for replying!

  • That's what I've been doing, although I really want to switch concealers - the liquid MAC one is really heavy, have you found that the Studio Fix one is light on your skin? I think my entire make-up routine needs a complete overhaul, lol.

  • Since the studio fix is a cream concealer, I would have assumed that it would be heavier than your liquid one! But this one seems to be "light" in the sense that you only need a little b/c it adheres well to the skin and is very opaque.

  • The liquid one comes in a doe-foot wand and so I dab it on, then spread with a concealer brush - it seems to be a lot more sheer than I thought a concealer should be. I ordered the lavender concealer in that free EM kit, so I'm hoping that works out! On the site, it said it was good for red-ish blemishes, I guess sort of like the green-colored one you got? I can't remember which one you said, it was in a diff video, lol. If it doesn't work, I might be getting studio fix!

  • The green one was the Maybelline Cover stick corrector concealer. i actually DO find that it reduces redness! and altho it is creamy, seem to be easier to "swipe" away than the mac studio fix. So i kind of use both in conjunction when I want to try extra hard to get rid of the redness!

  • its something sheer and very natural just comes in handy when applying with mouisturizer. :]

I love this tip, It was very effective.!

  • I'm glad you tried it! I agree that this looks very natural, along the lines of tinted moisturizer but with fuller coverage!

  • I tried this technique today...and loved it! The foundation went on so smoothly! Thanks for the tip! This is how I'm going to apply my mineral foundation from now on..I used fix+ as my "water"..oh and I got "pleasing" slim shine and "funshine" your reviews are making me BROKE j/k :)!

  • yay! i'm so glad this method worked out! Fix+ is the perfect liquid to use I think :). I feel like I'm just a source of peer pressure sometimes..thanks for watching!

  • is the coverage for the mac mineralized satinfinish good? like does it cover acne? b/c i suffer from acne too

  • mineralize satinfinish is sheer to medium coverage if you build it. So if you have moderate to severe acne, you should try the studio fix fluid! But I love the finish of the mineralize. just a warning tho..they seem to cause more acne. recently I been using powder again and it seems to have gone back to normal, for me at least

  • I love the satin finish to but it made me break out really bad and I don't break out much ever

  • aah. awesome. thanks! i'm soo doing this <3 i feel the same as you .. =]

  • glad to know this is helping ppl out there with similar thoughts!

  • hi just curious what everday minerals foundation color did you order...it looks great! i ordered winged butter but im not sure if it's to yellow im medium beige with bare minerals! great video!

  • glad you asked! I am just now uploading my haul video from Everyday Minerals so check it out! In this video I'm wearing a combo of Medium Beige and Olive Medium. I think this Medium Beige would match the BM Medium Beige well (from my recollection of the BM one)

  • I just received winged butter in a swap! I am curious how it turns out on you too.. What MAC or BE shade are you?

  • Thanks for the great advice!! I will try it tomorrow for sure!! =)

  • hope it turns out well :)

  • wow this is really great! thanks for the tip!!

  • give it a try! I love how you comment on my videos :D you are a diehard fan :)

  • How do you like Everday Minerals/

  • I'm liking EM so far!

  • wow that was fast :D woo hoo! thanks for watching ;)

  • i just tried this. it's so awesome!!! love your videos!

  • hey girl!! do you have any idea where I can get the Evian spray? I heard Olay has a spray like Fix + and Liz make a video using Aquafina. have you seen these anywhere? I cant seem to find them

  • You can find the Evian at Sephora or Sephora . com. Hmm Olay huh? probably a cheaper alternative I'll have to scope out! but i have no idea about the Aquafina which i'm sure would be just as good! google? lol

  • Hey Dustbunnies!

im so gonna try this..since i have bareminerals...thanks for sharing!

    ♥

  • hope you like it as much as I did :D

  • Awesome video! You are always such a joy to watch!

  • from the nose down i guess :) thanks so much!

  • haha like wilson! well I guess if i show my eyes you could put the two shots together and find out what my face looks like lol. maybe i'll just do one eye someday :).

  • Hey dustbunnies! Awesome job on the videos! Can you do a review or comparison with the primers you have. I saw you holding up prime time and smashbox's primer. Also, have you tried that monistat chafing gel as a primer? Thanks in advance!

  • sure! hopefully I can get to in a reasonable amt of time..i have all these videos to do! and wow..i've never heard of someone using a monistat gel as a primer! where did you think of that?

  • I actually heard about the monistat thing on Specktra. I haven't tried it yet, but was just curious if anyone else did. It's weird because when I hear "monistat" I automatically think vaginal cream. lol. Apparently, it has the same ingredients as the smashbox primer.

  • yeah that comes to mind for me too :). how interesting tho..

  • Why dont u do stuff wit eyeshadows. jus show dat part of ur face (eyes). kinda like dat one neighbor guy from home improvement?? dat'll be koo den u can show u eye looks.

should be okay, no? haha *shurg

  • Hi DbUnny. Cant u jus spray da stuff on after puttin ur mineral foundation? *shurg* but i enjoy watchn ur vids. im waitin for my package to come from sephora. *EXCITED! im thinkin of doin vids too but.. eh iunno.

so for now ill jus watch urs. keep dem comin =D

  • Yes u can totally do that too..it serves to achieve the same purpose. I would say however that this method makes the foundation stick better to your face since you kind of *rub* that stuff in and make it combine with the liquid rather than let it sit on your face and then soak up the liquid! you should def do a haul video at least :D they're good starters!

  • i've tried this before and i feel like it gives better coverage with just the powder alone.

  • i totally agree..it kind of melts into your skin better and is even!

  • Thanks for the tip, I mineral foundation but don't use it cuz it's cakey on me...so I just tinted moisturizer mix w/ moisturizer w/ spf...but in the long run..it breaks me out a little...so I'll try ur way n see...

  • yeah I don't know what it is..there's something in those foundations/tinted moisturizers that make people's skin break out sometimes! comment again and let us how this goes for you!!

  • cool. =] i was just thinking about trying that but wasn't sure of how to do it. i bought silk naturals and it said you can put it on with moisturizer or whatever and i was kinda skeptical because i tried it before and i seems to get chunky and... weird. but this seems real easy! =]

  • definitely! if one method doesn't work...just try another :). hope it works out well

  • OMG! I thought I was the only one who did this with my mineral foundation :D So glad I'm not alone and you don't think it's so weird/stupid :D I like it better with a touch of liquid :) I use Everyday Minerals though, BE made me break out and gave me a skin rash :(

  • you have companions! this is a fun way to apply minerals. I've heard a lot of ppl saying that BE gives them a rash/itches which sucks! I like EM too :) just tried it today!

  • Woot! I <3 EM :)
