  • I wish I could reload that fast with my AK. Looks like I HAVE to build an AR now.

  • @jarehad0415 You can reload just as fast as an AR with an AK it just takes repetition and practice. My first rifle was a WASR 10/63, loved it. Not sure why I got rid of it, so I bought another AK47.

  • @jarehad0415 Look up "Emergency reload AK" on youtube. The AR reload will always be a tiny bit faster because of it's bolt hold open feature, and a little bit more ergonomic for it's design, but AKs aren't far behind, with proper training and repetition.

  • Del-Ton AR-15 A3 Flat-Top Upper Assembly 5.56x45mm NATO 1 in 9" Twist 20" Government Contour Barrel Chrome Moly Matte with A2 Handguard, Flash Hider 399 plis like 15 shipping at midwayusa and a complete lw-15 lower for 99 plus the dros now thats a budget ar15 am planning in the next week

  • @anthonyg15 Sounds sweet dude. Make a vid of that when you get it.

  • @anthonyg15 How much does that all cost together?

  • Hey bud im looking into getting this same 20" rifle kit. but I cant find the weight on it any where. Did you get a chance to weigh it in its basic configuration like you have here in this vid?

  • @biggboysouth I believe it was around 8.5 lb, after mods it weighted around 7.7lb.

  • @CristianArnautu Dang 7.7lbs? Thats sounds pretty sweet. When you can, throw up a vid on those mods. My 16" ar weights like 8lbs with the reddot and sights, mainly because that damn heavy barrel it came with. I hear the 20" hb model is very unbalanced(front heavy) Plus a heavy barrel really doesnt make much of a diff untill you go to like 400yrds and beyond. I think 4-500 yrds and in that rifle is just fine for a D.M.R. and its light weight. Summary HB are kinda useless in ARs, I would know!

  • @biggboysouth I've been wanting to make a vid but the weather hasn't been very cooperative lately and neither has my schedule. I don't like to bore people with just talking about the gun, I let it speak for itself. Since I made this video I bought two more guns, a Remington 1911R1 and a Romanian M10 AK47(no century gamble). I am eager to make more videos. Lastly on the DMR I am going to replace the bolt carrier group with a boron nickel plated BCG, this will make it easier to clean.

  • @CristianArnautu yea i've seen enough table tops lol. I saw your century arms 74, I use to have one aswell. it was fun while i had it. But i didnt realy need two diff small calibers you now. Thats BCG sound petty good, its probably going to smoothen the action up a bit aswell. Have you looked into fail zero? I haven't dove into to much my self but i've heard really good things from it. P.s. your getting a sub from me!

  • @WoWoWeeMo the goverment profile is the standard barrel the us military have on the current m16. Don't know much about their HB model, i was very satisfied with goverment profile.

  • im thingking buying the delton upper 20" heavy barrel instead of goverment profile is it the same?

  • niice video. quick question: did you purchase the rifle with a f-marked front sight post or a standard one?

  • @MisterPo bought it with the F-marked front sight post because it had a flat top receiver. If you buy it with a standard A2 receiver option you gonna want the standard A2 front sight post. The removable carry handles sight sit higher than a standard A2 receiver sight, there fore the front sight post has to be the F-marked since it sits higher.

  • That's a great looking rifle. How do you feel about the A2 stock? Is it comfortable for you, or do you feel its a bit too long when shooting squared to the the target?

  • @OversteerVideos It's not bad, if your running a chest rig. It becomes a problem once you throw on some body armor. Myself and a friend did some modifications to the rifle since I made this video. The AR-15 platform is truly remarkable in the sense that you can just keep building from it to suit your taste. It's turning out into very formidable DMR.

  • @CristianArnautu Thanks for the response! What kind of modifications did you make?

  • @OversteerVideos Added a 13inch Troy Free float Alpha rail, a 3-9X40mm scope, cut the A frame sight off and did a really nice trigger job of about 3.5 pounds.

  • @CristianArnautu Very nice. Thanks again for the info!

  • @CristianArnautu Does a single-point swivel go well with this rifle?

  • @BlessedRifle777 To be honest, I did not build the rifle for run and gun. It' s a DMR so a regular rifle sling will do. Really I don' t see the point in it, the rifle (in my opinion) is to long and awquard to manipulate compared to a carbine with an adjustable stock. You could replace the stock with an M4 style colapsible stock but it would require replacing the buffer and spring rated for a full length gas system.

  • @BlessedRifle777 Single points do, however, allow for much easier and faster transitions to your secondary (handgun) and switching from right to left shoulder firing positions.

  • Great vid and good free hand posture and trigger control. But man something about the 20 inch ar is so attractive to me. I have a 16 inch del-ton and it's been 100% reliable now nearing 4000 rounds but I really want a 20 inch to make my D.M.R.

  • I was using 5.56 nato for those groups, haven't tried .223 yet.

  • I bought the parts kit because I wanted to get some experience building an AR. Its really up to you if you wanna get a fully built model or parts kit. In terms of accuracy i was getting 1.5 inch groups at 100 meters, i just ordered a 13 inch free float rail for it, gonna have to cut the a frame sight off tho. Don't feel like spending money for a new gas block.

  • Also what do you get for groups, because I want to buy an as accurate a platform as I can?

  • I've been looking at that delton design and I've been thinking about buying it; do you recommend buying it assembled or buy it and build it myself?

  • My buddy is trying to build his first AR and he says that he is having trouble finding options for a 20inch 5.56 upper. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

  • nice looking ar! what optics are you running?

  • @littleandres09 I' m planning on making this my designated marksman rifle. I shot it with the ACOG just to see how my groups we' re on paper because it's zeroed for my duty M4 carbine. I am planning on getting a Troy quad rail and a Leupold 9 power scope.

  • @CristianArnautu very nice, good luck bro!

  • nice vid brotha

  • That ACOG was issued to me, it cost me nothing. I will have to return it when I separate from the military or change bases.

  • on a budget? lol you have an ACOG. haha

    nice rifle.

  • Looks good

  • @cueballhallful thanks for showing me how to put one together, looking forward to the next build.
