This is the coolest song ever. I have known this for 20+ years. I'm stoned silly and listening to this for the first time in a very long time. Again, cool.
I've been around all types of music for about four decades and i haven't heard too many tracks funkier than this. From the arrangement to the lyrics. Add equals parts of JM and stir.
this track reveales jim morrison's entire lyricall subtleness. with the referral to the traumatic event, when he witnessed the car accident of a group of indians as a young child. rest in everlasting peace jim..
its amazing how great of a poet jim was he was truly a beautiful pure poet just try to let the words soak in to your mind and realive just how pure this is
"If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thru' narrow chinks of his cavern." -- William Blake
The term pareidolia referenced in 1994 by Steven Goldstein, describes a psychological phenomenon involving a vague and random stimulus (often an image or sound) being perceived as significant. Common ex: include images of animals or faces in clouds, the man in the moon, and hidden messages on records played in reverse. Pareidolia is a type of apophenia.
Perhaps you are also referring to the image of satan in the burning world trade center? However I do believe there is a higher conciousness that can be reached though an intelligent pharmacopia that is beyound mere chaos and pathos, perhaps that is why we give our children ridalin. Having never done acid the stongest halucinagin I have done is DXM. I'm sure you have done it to....although I doubt you have seen what I have seen.
Does anyone still need some X-mas money? I registered at CDPoker com, entered the VICTORY Coupon Code and received a staggering $ 600 for free!!! That´s gonna make great gifts for my girlfriend this year ;)
this mdfkn song shows perfectly what Jim Morrison could do with words...a total metaphysical trip, can't deny, takes out that special something that words always try to hide, plus, the bass n piano help tons...LONG LIVE THE LIZARD KING!!
wow. the doors are really great. they've got a rather odd mix of insturments (the organ and whatnot) but they always manage to pull it off. well done!! nice pics!! 5/5!
The Doors needed a bass player for sure, it sounds great in this song. I know Ray's organ acted as part of the rhythm section but a bass would enrich their sound.
Dude, you need to listen to some more music before writting a comment on Jim Morrison, it's a cult...it's much more profound than a bass guitar...nevertheless keep listening ... you will know what I mean

polishpirate123 3 years ago
ray manzarek only played the bass line live. they had a real bassist recording the studio stuff.
