Porsche and VW are not on the same level in terms of reliability. Porsche is mostly above average, all thanks to Toyota's help on that years ago. But Volkswagen? is a complete joke. I guess you were lucky to have reliable VWs there, that's nice.

And the Consumer Reports recently released a data this year again, and the most reliable cars were Asian(Japanese/Korean). Reliability is about lasting, nothing else.

From my experience with Toyota, Subaru and Honda, we have never really done much maintenance(Especially for Toyota, which belonged to my parents), and yet, not a single problem for 10 years and still runs.
And the Consumer Reports recently released a data this year again, and the most reliable cars were Asian(Japanese/Korean). Reliability is about lasting, nothing else.

10 years is nothing ,if you take care of your car. But how many 20 year old Japanese cars do you see, not a lot..A German car will last you 25 years ,easy.

Ya, 25 years. I hope you actually drive one until it gets 25 years, not your wishful thinking.
And I doubt any idiot would drive the same car for 25 years. And like I said, those Japanese cars are only 10 years, and yet, "still" running if you didn't notice.

No my present car is only 15. but my brother in law has a wonderful old Audi, and my first car was 20 when I got it. Toyota is always high in consumer reports because of their dealerships, those are the best, not the cars.

I see you are doing your best on making stuff up, good job. But too bad, I have never seen Consumer Reports talking anything about the dealerships but cars. What point is there if they were just reviewing dealerships? Are you mentally ill?
I think you should stop listening to those Anti-Japanese car freaks who talk out of jealousy....or maybe you are one.

Read the small print, it helps understanding.
By the way my first car was a Mini, a hoot to drive.
I have nothing against Japanese cars, for some people they are a good choice.
And no I don't make things up.

Ya, I don't think I have ever read anything that says "For the Japanese cars and the Korean cars, we only reviewed their dealerships, not their cars. So keep that in mind", maybe in your dreams.
And for some good people...some? Is that why I see the Japanese cars everywhere on the road? Ya, now I think you have never even driven a single VW or Porsche before. My friend and my girl both complained about the reliability of their VW Golf and here you are, saying German cars last 25 years. Wow!
